The room was great, the staff were incredible, the location was convenient. But maybe the biggest sleeper with this hotel is its restaurant. The food here is worthy of a special trip. When something as simple as Brussels sprouts tapas can make you weep, you know you're onto something special. Don't get me started on the Avocado toast! Loved every minute of this stay and will definitely return!

Room was small, but clean and cozy. I love the Spanish inspired details. There is ample parking space, pool, and a patch of grass to let your dog do its business. The inhouse restaurant was very lovely! It was very cozy, especially at night. They have a fireplace and some good music.

I have always stayed at this property when visiting Monterey. Upon check in they had no power due to a transformer that blew. We had to wait about 4 hours to have power which set us back since we couldn’t get ready for dinner after a 6 hour drive. Outlets not working, no lights, no WiFi Pretty shocked they don’t have a generator and the only offer we were given was to cancel our reservation and find another accommodation. Valentines weekend, not sure what they were thinking. U can’t just go find a hotel day of lol Besides that I still like this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The check in process was smooth and EZ. Very helpful friendly employees. Spacious room, beautifully done with a romantic fireplace. Comfortable beds and pillows. Restaurant had a good menu. Fireplaces indoors and outside in the seating area. We ate inside but the outside patio was very inviting and well done. Fitness center was small but had everything you would need. The outdoor pool was nicely done. Very clean with cushioned lounge chairs and tables. A great place to hang out. Parking is available on property for a small fee, and was convenient to our room. We felt safe. We enjoyed the location. Across the street were some coffee houses and restaurants. We walked to Fishermans Wharf from the hotel and it was nice to have lunch on the water. We will be staying there again.

Everything was good until we were both waken up by the non stop water hitting metal noise, which also prevented us from returning to sleeping. In the morning, we saw the puddle on top of the air conditioning unit that confirmed our understanding. Upon informing the front desk at check out, it was brushed aside by the staff as condensation, and nothing could be done about it. Room 515 was recommended to us as a quiet room at check in. It was everything but quiet. Imagine what your future guests would experience. We certainly won’t stay here in the future.
