Transient Fees??

The dining room staff was amazing! We would have used the dining room our second night... However, we had some strange charges added to our bill that showed up only on the TV in our room apparently. Two different charges for transient fees that were quite substantial. We inquired about it twice with the front desk once the first night, second time upon check out. No one had an answer for us, and it didn't show up any where on our actual bill that I could see, or the person checking us out?? Quite disturbing.

Comfy and mostly clean

The stairwell to the rooms could use a good carpet cleaning but the room itself was mostly clean. The shower was impeccable. The undermount sink could use attention under the rim, though. That being said, the beds were comfortable (even the sofabed), the floors were clean, and we had a great night's rest along our journey!

The building looks beautiful in the front and where they host events but the back is not the same. The rooms and hallways semi rundown. My carpet was grimy feeling in the room. The courtyard will be nice when it’s finished but the amount of people who just are smoking weed is kind of sad. I understand people are allowed to do as they please but I have small children and I don’t want that around them. We had to go in a couple different time because of it.

There are a few reasons I would look to book elsewhere the next time I am in the area. The first and most important reason is that the walls are too thin; we could hear a lot from the hallway and the people in the rooms around us. We could hear crying children all night in the room next to us, people talking at normal volumes in rooms and in the hallways, and we were kept awake by people blaring their tv to try to cover up the sound of... a certain activity in their room. I suggest the hotel gets soundproofing panels to put in all rooms. Additionally, the hotel should invest in better quality towels, sheets, and mattresses. The towels barely covered us (we are not big people). One towel could not dry us all the way because it was so thin. Our sheets were thin and mine also had a hole in it. There were no blankets that we could find in the room. My mattress had a divit in it where all the guests before me wore it down. I slept on the other side of the mattress but I could imagine how uncomfortable it would be if two people were sharing the bed.
