Redwoods visit

We stayed here for three nights while traveling up the coast from SF to visit the Redwood NP with our three kids (9, 7 and 4). The location was great for our purposes and perfect for our group of 5, I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

Darling Home

We celebrated my mother’s 85th birthday by bringing in immediate family members from out of the area and needed a place to house 4 of them. My brother and sis in law plus their adult daughter and her husband stayed at this darling home. It felt comfortable the minute we walked in the door. The neighbor was nice and it was easy access to Highway 101. The home felt safe and had all amenities. It was just a perfect home away from home. We will definitely rent this home again if we have a need!

Home away from home

I would highly recommend this home to stay in. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfortable. It’s spacious. There’s a nice yard with a play structure for the children. They were also Legos, games, and books. One thing I appreciated that many vacation rentals don’t have was dishes appropriate for small children. In terms of cleaning, the place was spotless!

Clean, comfortable stay

House was clean. Beds and pillows comfortable. Nice to have access to washer/dryer and full kitchen. Check in/out process was easy. Close to freeway access and to a gas station. We didn’t have time to explore Mckinleyville but we stayed here to be close to coast and also access the Redwood forests. It was a good pick.

I could live here

Spotlessly clean home. Wonderful beds, fully stocked kitchen right down to the spices, only draw back was the living room and dining room seating. We are seniors and all seats were very low, making it difficult to get out of them. They also were not very comfortable. We had a problem with the electronics (our problem) but the property manager was on it in seconds and solved the issue. I'd stay here again.

Fantastic stay at Hedge Rose House

Our family enjoyed our stay as we toured the Cal Poly Humboldt campus. Close to so many things it was the perfect launching pad for our time there. Well appointed, clean and comfortable (the king bed in the primary suite was HEAVEN). If my child decides to attend Cal Poly Humboldt I can see us enjoying more time in this home. Thank you!

Great base location for exploring/touring the California Redwoods

Truly a well-kept residence; the house appears to be relatively new. We really enjoyed the touches of home (shampoo, conditioner, lotion in all the bathrooms) and conveniences (complimentary dishwasher and laundry tabs). The house was spotless; we'd enjoy returning and would recommend this property to anyone with a family of four.

Our family of five absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home! We enjoyed a long weekend (early June 2023) of exploring Redwoods National Park, hit up the local Oyster Fest, and traveled a bit south to experience Avenue of the Giants. What a cool part of our amazingly diverse country! The house was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and the beds were very comfortable…loved the pillows and sheets so much we checked the labels so we could purchase our own! We also loved the simple added conveniences such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and Keurig pods! We highly recommend and would totally stay again! - Molly

Probably my favorite vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Incredibly neat and clean with all the amenities! Super comfortable beds! Great living area to relax! This property was perfect for our adventures around the coast and the Redwoods. Comfortable and plenty of space for our family to spread out after long days hiking and exploring. Our teenagers particularly enjoyed having access to Netflix in the evenings. This property was exceptionally clean and in great condition.
