This spot definitely didn't live up to our expectations, primarily because of the location. It is within a convenient distance to Yosemite, which is a plus. You drive through the literal fairgrounds to get to the house. That in and of itself isn't great and not necessarily a deal breaker, but there is a heavy equipment yard (which isn't visible in the photos in the listing), and a shooting range below the house, and both are within earshot. The yard was noisy during the day, with heavy equipment and music blaring. On one day during our stay, gunfire rang out from the range from about 2pm - 6:30pm (the host was very responsive when I reached out to see when they usually stop for the night). The gardener showed up the morning after we arrived, startling my husband when he came down the side of the house with a blower. If yard day is Tuesday, that's fine, but please inform the guests that someone will be there. Not exactly the peaceful, mountain retreat we were hoping for. The interior was as pictured, and the great room was a good spot to watch a movie. The downstairs game room was fun, and made for a nice separation when folks needed a bit of space from one another - lol. The pots and pans in the kitchen need to be replaced. Over the years, the nonstick surfaces have taken a serious beating, and all of them are gouged and scratched.
