First, it started with the property mgt not sending me the code to access the front gate of the community... it took over 2 hours of calls and text messages while waiting at night outside in the rain (in the car) before they sent me the. The code only worked for that one time. I needed to go to the front office to pay $30 for parking that was never mentioned in any of their post in VRBO (they only said that parking was available for 1 car). I couldn't get to the office during their office hours because I had a conference that overlapped with those hours. It took another couple of hours to get another code the next day. Finally, to top it all off, it took many other calls and text messages to get me wifi. The wifi network and code they sent me in the welcome email was from the older router that was replaced a week prior to my arrival date. They wanted me to troubleshoot the router for them.
After all of this, they offered $28 as a comp for the inconvenience where I paid over a $1,000 for a 3 day-stay, 2 of which I was without access to the gate and without wifi. Very imcompetent.
