We had an amazing time at the Tranquil Inn! The accommodations were so comfortable and the staff wonderful! It was centrally located in the village of Manteo and close to pubs, restaurants, shops. We visited all of the suggested attractions recommended by the staff and totally enjoyed everything! We are looking forward to a return visit!

Adorable inn right on the water. Staff was super friendly! It’s an older building so there’s some reasonable “character” here and there but overall you can see it’s a well cared for. Its location is wonderful and we would definitely stay again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The double queen rooms was very clean and larger than expected.
The waterfront location is perfect for relaxing or exploring.
