The hot water was brown. Hmm. Take a shower in that. The beds are comfortable and the location is great. Staff not that accessible or helpful. Although there is air conditioning, the remotes to turn them on had been removed, so no air conditioning.

This apartment is in a great location right on Puerto del Sol. Despite all of the activity outside the rooms were quiet and dark inside. A/C worked great. Staff is responsive and helpful. Would love to return.

Clean, quiet, well-equipped property in very convenient locstion. However, the lack of a front desk and lack of English for all but one staff member (Mike) caused us some anxiety about checkin and checkout. Expedia says to contact hotel beforehand, but my 2 online messages and 3 phone calls weren't answered. Only a call by a previous Spanish hotel was answered. Mike did meet us as planned in that call, and Armando came at 7.30am to check us out as promised. Also, our reservation note said we would have to present a 200 euro deposit in cash on arrival, but in fact a credit-card deposit would have been accepted. The reservation said the hotel would collect our payment, but I have no idea how that was handled. Good place, but faulty comunications !

We wish we could have checked in earlier, also the apartment is in the center of Madrid, an area that is difficult to navigate by car, also parking is quite expensive. Otherwise, everything worked out very well.

The apartment was really great. We stayed 3 days in Madrid and the apartment is in a perfect location close to everything. We walked to El Prado and Plaza Mayor. The metro is just 30 meters away. To have a local data plan for $20 you have Orange and Vodafone just in front crossing the square. The apartment doesn't have any luxury but it's very clean, safe and it has everything you need for a family of up to 4. Armando is a strict and very clear person. He let us do the check in earlier as it was possible in our case. Next time in Madrid I will come here.

Great location

The room was comfortable and quiet. No matter what, you will need to navigate stairs - so beware if you have a lot of luggage. Also, paying the deposit in cash is easier if you want your money back sooner (at check out). Great location - although it was extremely busy when we were there (Champions League Final).

Lovely apartment in great location

Nice spacious apartment. Well equipped kitchen, with everything you need including dishwasher. No housekeeping throughout 4 night stay, not even the bins were emptied. Although it says free toiletries, all that was provided was body wash / hand wash, which was even full and wasn't topped up during stay. Check in is a bit slow. But brilliant location and lovely clean apartment.

Stayed two years ago and had to go back. apartment is not large but the two balconies overlooking the Puerto del sol more than compensated for this. Communication with the host was difficult . Basic lack of English and no response to emails and texts from the owner. However Armando who greeted us was very helpful. Hoping to return next year.

Good location, but requiring the security deposit in Euros is a hassle for foreign visitors. Also, not having staff onsite was a hassle because our WiFi access was terminated a day early but we could not call the hotel staff using WhatsApp without WiFi and they were outside of business hours. Lastly, having to wait for the walkthrough to get your cash security deposit back is a hassle as well as some visitors need to leave for the airport early.

Perfect spot in the town square right amongst the buzz. After an initial hiccup where the room we booked did not look like the room offered, including the lack of double bed (2 singles)and washing machine, we were moved after producing written proof of both. After some confusion we were shown the room we had booked, bigger, Street view with French doors onto the balcony. Nice little kitchenette, internet and good air con. Access by stairs or elevator with some stairs to climb to the landing if you got the lift. Fun place to stay.

Great Apartment in the Center of Madrid

We loved this place! If you want to have a more "homey" feel renting an apartment is a much better option than a hotel. The room we got had a washing machine/dryer, full kitchen, nice little dining room table, a separate bedroom with a decent queen sized bed, TV DVD player and stereo and a great balcony to watch all the action in the square. We like to go to grocery stores and buy a few things to make ourselves so the kitchen was great. I would rate this place as very decent but if you want a "hotel" experience this isn't for you. As an apartment it doesn't have daily cleaning but we didn't mind that. There were plenty of towels and cleaning supplies to keep us good for 8 days there and we loved having the washing machine so we didn't need to pack so many clothes. The owners/superintendents don't speak a lot of English but they're nice and helpful. We really are glad we chose this place!!
