The Super 8 was a 10 for convenience and location. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not much but that is a minor issue compared to the value and convenience near the Mackinac Bridge and shore of Lake Huron. There are two Super 8 hotels in Mackinaw and this one is the one nearest the bridge.

Tourist spot.

It’s a tourist spot so the people there get tired of answering the same questions but they also tell you like you are from there so you are better off talking to others or gps. There wasn’t much of a breakfast but the bed was pretty comfortable and they had 4 different types of pillows. You also had access to 2 different hotels that had water parks. It was a really nice stay.

The front desk was so nice! The vending machine on the 1st floor didn’t work. The one on the 3rd floor worked and then it didn’t. The plugs in our room looked very unsafe. Then you plugged something in it would immediately fall out. The room was clean but, the shower was less than desirable. Part of the wall was coming off. The location was the best tho!

Ok hotel, the room was limited on outlets and trash cans but very comfortable beds and easy parking lot. We had to ask for towels twice, but did receive after going to the hotel clerk.

The good, property was in a good location. But, that is all that was good. Room had a smell to it, amd it was not clean at all. The shower was in an old awful jetted tub that was very difficult to get in and out of. A definite liability issue, so unsafe. The air conditioner worked, but was so loud and clanked and clammered the entire time it was on. No kleneex in room, no soap, and not enough toilet paper to make it through our very short one night stay. When we asked for more toilet paper the staff acted like we were a problem and said we should have had plenty. We couldn't check out of this place fast enough. Super disappointing.

Nice place for the price

Breakfast option was interesting. Received a voucher for a buy one, get one free at a restaurant down the road. The food was great and it is all you can eat. For the price it was very reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. My niece loved that she was staying in a Lincoln log hotel.

Needs A Repair Man!

The hotel called and wanted to change our reservation at 5pm from a 2 queen to a king. I declined. When we hung up I noticed I received an email and the reservation had been changed. Upon arrival they inform me they had changed the reservation back to what I had originally booked. Our room was in MAJOR need of a repair man, a DEEP clean, and maybe a map for future guest. It was a maze with 1 ac unit so no air flow and couldn't cool the entire area. The jets in the jacuzzi tub shot out mold. The baseboard heaters need put back together. The carpets need cleaned! Stained sheets is not a good first impression. And power strips to plug in lights! I'm sure not all rooms are like this, but this was my experience!

It’s just looks like the other hotels but under the bed was full of insects and spiders And when i asked them to unlock my bathrooms door they gave me a paper clip and said if you didn’t opened it we will send somebody to unlock the door

Property is run down, needs a complete upgrade. Room stunk, no hot water and if you had hot water it was scolding. The staff was less than accommodating. They would rather watch videos on their phones. Would never stay there again!!

For the value, this property was acceptable. The property is older and could use some updating though. It was not dirty, but definitely could have been more visually appealing. The room was pretty small even for your average hotel room but it was clean. The bathroom was clean but also pretty outdated. The linoleum floor was peeling up next to the bathtub etc. It needs updating. Still not a deal breaker for the location and the beds were comfortable. It was right next to the bridge and a 10 minute walk to the downtown Mackinaw Crossing area which was great. Location is definitely worth it. The pool was in need of repair and could have been cleaner. The paint is peeling off the pool lining and floating in the water. It was also SO heavily chlorinated that it was overpowering and the water was a bit murky from the chemical. That could use improvement. We would stay here again for the location but would probably skip going in the pool.
