While my sons and I were looking forward to a relaxing getaway, several issues with the property significantly impacted the quality and comfort of our stay. I’m reaching out to respectfully request a refund for one night of our two-night reservation to account for the inconveniences we encountered.Here is a summary of the concerns:Sliding glass door: The door to the back patio was extremely difficult to open and close. Because it didn’t fully seal, gnats entered the home each evening. Every morning began with us cleaning up dead bugs from surfaces and floors—before we could even make coffee.Fire alarm issues: A fire alarm repeatedly beeped due to a low battery. Without access codes for the alarm system, I had to get up multiple times each night to silence it so we could sleep.Kitchen setup: Although the listing states the home accommodates eight people, the kitchen lacked adequate cookware for even four. There were no large pots or pans, and we had to split meals across two small pans. Additionally, the cabinets were disorganized and filled with repair supplies, leaving no space to store groceries, which cluttered the limited counter space.No dish drainer or kitchen towels: We were aware there was no dishwasher, but there was also no dish drainer or kitchen towels. We ended up using a bath towel to dry dishes throughout our stay.Back patio: The outdoor seating was overshadowed by a wasp infestation in the storage box. The lid couldn’t be secured, so it was unsafe
