Beautiful, traditional place to stay. From walking in the door it just feels cosy and welcoming. Breakfast was quality produce, cooked perfectly to order. Would definitely stay again. Very clean, homely and friendly staff.

Room was well appointed, spacious, and very clean with thoughtful touches including homemade cookies, and chocolates. The Tea/coffee station and toiletries were a good-quality and welcome addition. The big bathtub provided a much needed soak after a day traversing up and down steep hill. The bed was massive (though we found the mattress quite hard). The staff were lovely and helpful, and the whole building was very nicely decorated and kept. Breakfast was standard English fare and the kitchen were able to make dietary amendments for our party’s intolerances/allergies with no trouble. Wonderful location in Uphill Lincoln, plenty of parking on site. We would have liked to make use of the electric vehicle charger however sadly, someone had parked a petrol BMW in the space preventing this.

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom very spacious but a little hot! I would have liked the option of fruit or yoghurt at breakfast. The dinners were excellent and the staff were all extremely welcoming. A loving short break and an opportunity to visit your beautiful city.
