Wonderful spot. Beautiful cottage!

The location was great. The cottage was perfect for our family. Perfect for our dog, who loves the water, and for all of us. The screened porch and dock were lovely. All the amenities were just right! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Relaxing Stay

The property was perfect! The home was clean and had everything we needed. We took full advantage of the beautiful dock and spent most of our time there or in the lake! Would highly recommend this property for your next stay at SML!

Great Getaway

Property was in a good location and in good condition. As with all VRBOs it was obviously well used. Dock was awesome for our 23 ft boat. Ramp at Virginia Dare is a bit neglected but close by.Hosts were very responsive in terms of providing information, although we had no other issues. Property and area also dog friendly for walking. Deer in the yard every evening and hanging on the dock was very cool. Awesome wind chimes in the back yard. We arrived at the conclusion of a tropical storm which left the front yard and gravel driveway spongy requiring fwd to get out, but under normal conditions there should be no issues. Adequate room for three couples. Washer and dryer a bit grungy but they worked. Screened in porch was really nice. A/C and heat were good. Would recommend this property. Had a good time.

Great Getaway by the Lake

My second visit to this cozy cove cottage and loved it again. My Portuguese water dog and his buddy were in dog heaven. Kayaking was fun and the peacefulness in the cove was relaxing. House is well equipped with everything you need and comfortable. Screened in porch is the best place to be! Hope to return!

Great vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We spent a lot of time at the dock. There is plenty of shade and sun if you want it. Location is in a fairly private cove, so you can swim without worrying about boat traffic. Kitchen is very well stocked which we appreciated because we cooked most of our meals while there. We enjoyed the new gas grill. It’s about a 15 minute drive to Food Lion. The beds are comfy. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and we took long walks every morning without having to worry about traffic. Deer in the yard every night- and sometimes in the daytime.

Anniversary trip

Overall the house, especially the screened in porch was wonderful. We really enjoyed the huge dock and the house is close to shopping and restaurants. I had to wipe all furniture off on the porch when we arrived. The yard needed cleaned up also.

Great stay at the cozy cottage. House was set up perfect for our needs. Dock is terrific. The property is located in a quiet area with beautiful scenery. Deer in the yard every night. Appreciated being able to bring 2 dogs. Thank you for the use of your house.

Getting away from it all!

My husband, myself and our pooch enjoyed several days here. It was perfect for us...tucked away in a quiet cove, plenty of yard for our dog, a wonderful screened in porch, a beautiful dock where you could choose to sit in the sun or the shade. (Bonus points!) The house was comfy and had everything we needed. The master bed was super comfy. And it was an easy drive to multiple restaurants. The owners were very responsive when I had questions about the area. We loved it and hope to return.
