quietest place I can remember ever being

pros: peaceful location, facility is clean with all amenitiesIf there is any con, some maintenance is required, the sliding glass door is in need of repair, the retaining wall in the pavilion need a drain, several boards in the deck need replacing, otherwise a great place for a peaceful rest.

Relaxing Family Getaway

The house was great to accommodate our multiple generational family and the shelter area was perfect for s’mores. The dock provided a fun outdoor area for swimming and fishing. The location is so close to Harbor Light Marina where we rented a pontoon and got takeout.We hope to vacation here again.

Nice house and convenient location to the boat ramp and marina. Worked well for our family to enjoy the lake! House could use some maintenance but everything worked just fine.

Overall our stay was good, and we had a wonderful time. Home needs to be updated. Wood floor keeps moving leaving gaps. Parts of the dock need to be fixed. Couch is worn out, oven was dirty and no propane, however when I texted they had us a tank in 20 minutes. Otherwise the home was clean. Difficult to find things as it really needs to be organizedThe lake was fantastic and we had .kayaks to use that was amazing.

Little things here and there that made this property unclean. There were dead nats sticking to the hood above the stove and on the wall next to the TV. There were cobwebs in the corners of the primary bathroom. As I can appreciate the big sticky pad behind the primary nightstand it was full of bugs. Would have been a good idea to change that it before guests arrive. Even though there was a storm 2 nights prior to, the deck was full of debris and not blown or swept off. The decor was a hodgepodge of furniture bc we had plenty of time to look at everything around the house as there was no internet or TV from the storm, which was not their fault. Just not up to the standards of other rentals I’ve stayed in comparison. On the positive note, they had power after the storm and the shower gel smelled amazing!

Nice But Cleaning Crew Needs Help

The place is really nice and fit our needs perfectly. The location and size of the place was great. We own rental property ourselves so we are familiar with how it works and what people expect. The out door furniture was not useable. It was so dirty, you could not even sit on the deck. Which we were meeting other family members at another house so to us wasn't a big deal but you need to know. Then the kids room in the bunk beds there were still candy wrappers from other guests left along the edges where the mattresses do not meet the frames. Then there were some stains on the Duvet covers in the kid's room as well. We just pulled them back and would not use them. They used blankets they brought. We really did like the place and would come again but you cannot correct things if you don't know about them, so we like to let you know. It is just a cleaning issue.

3.5 stars lakeside in peaceful neighborhood

The home was very well equipped with thoughtful touches such as bug repellent spray and other items you might forget. The living room furniture was not very comfortable and the home could use a thorough cleaning. There is a steep driveway to the water which may be a challenge for some. We lost internet service a couple times and the property manager was very responsive.

Perfect weekend getaway

My husband, myself and our 2 daughters stayed here for a weekend getaway. We had an amazing time. The house was just perfect for the 4 of us. The outside space was absolutely perfect for our family. We will definitely stay again!

Great spot on the lake and we’ll set up lakefront and access. unfortunately the dock was under repair and not really usable. This was the main reason we rented this place.

Great getaway

Nice rustic Lakehouse with all the essentials. ` huge back deck makes you feel like you are in the trees. Horseshoe driveway made getting in and out with the boat trailer a breeze and the boat ramp was about two minutes away. House was clean, neat and had nice furnishings. This is a great place for a couples weekend or family vacation.

LAVONIA LOVE!

We had a great week at this cottage. The house was well decorated and stocked with just about everything you need. We always bring the "necessities" with us but it wasn't needed at all. The owners reached out and made sure we had everything we needed and that was super nice! If I could make only one suggestion to my our stay better would have been the use of a golf cart as the walk to the dock is long for older people....BUT you can drive down the path as we did with a SUV pulling a trailer! Which did allow for us to get my 87 yr. old mother in law down to the water. The deep water cove was nice and quiet with low boat traffic. Fishing was good and the weather was excellent for kayaking (which they have to use). The place is close to the town of Lavonia so groceries were easy to get to. We ate at Tilly's Tiki Bar and Grill and had an excellent meal! Overall, our experience was excellent! I would highly encourage others to give this place a try. It'a quite a gem.
