My husband and I arrived for three nights to celebrate our 26th anniversary. The house was pretty clean though a couple things in the kitchen and half bath should have been wiped down. When we settled to use the fireplace, it didn't work. A lot of time was spent calling, texting, leaving a voicemail, sending pictures, and it wasn't resolved. We were told a maintenance person would arrive at 9am the next morning. We tried using the big tv but the sound was messed up and the base actually hurt our ears and we couldn't hear the voices. The binder for the house gave no information beyond 'use a remote.' The tv room had about 5 remotes and we didn't see one for the sound system. So 2 out of 3 of the main amenities weren't functioning for us. The maintenance man arrived about 10am, instead of 9am. It took over an hour to figure out the fireplace issue and solve the tv sound issue. So our first night and morning were not spent relaxing as intended. I requested a partial refund and was offered snack packs but declined those. Finally, I was told we would receive a 75 refund at departure. The rest of our stay was fine. And at departure, my texts went unacknowledged. My email too was unacknowledged. And there was no refund at all. It is disappointing to spend so much for a special occasion and have them fail to do as they said they would (which wasn't much at all). Nice property if you are lucky enough not to have any issues. It's not managed by one person as listed but by a company.
