This condo deserves 5 stars, but unfortunately we had an AC issue that was mishandled by the management company. We booked this condo because of the appeal of the AC unit in the master. Issue with the AC in the master started our 1st night. It would make a deep humming noise for about 10 sec. Then stop for about a min and then do it again. Even with the unit completely turned off, it did it. With both units turned off, it did it. After 2 hours of not being able to sleep, I text the management co. They informed me to go to the breaker box and switch it off for 5 mins and try again. Did that and it still made the noise. We ended up having the AC breaker turned off just so we could sleep. They sent someone the next day, we weren’t there, but John the property manger with Vacasa said the maintenance guy did hear it, but they wouldn’t get someone there until Monday, it was Friday. He said in the mean time for the inconvenience he would only be able to refund us $100 and could drop eat plugs off. I was frustrated and stated to him that we purposely paid more for the condo bc of the the 2 units. Also, I have children that I need to be able to hear, so sleeping with earplugs for 3 nights doesn’t sound like a fun Maui vacay. In the end, they sent someone out, did some reboot with the system and we had 2 quiet nights of sleep. The hum started back up. John stated bc they didn’t diagnose a problem we wouldn’t get any more money refunded. Don’t waste your money on the extra AC. Bummer.
