Spent two nights at this property. We showed up late in the night, but they had an easy self-check in process. Room was simple and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and warm. Breakfast had the essentials (coffee, tea, breads, spreads, eggs, meats, cheeses). Location was good for visiting Black Diamond Beach and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. There weren't many dinner options around, so make sure to plan that in advance. Area was also dark enough to catch some northern lights. The shower water did smell like sulfur and the smell filled up the bathroom bedroom, but we were able to air it out pretty quickly by opening the window. No complaints!

The property is pretty basic l, needs what need to have and that's it. I didn't sleep because there was an alarm beeping since 2:30am like up to 4:30am so didn't rest, there was no way to warm the room, like heat. Breakfast was good. On the other hand is a perfect spot to see the Northern lights if the weather permits

A fairly no-frills motel in an amazing location. The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was reasonable. There was a good place to have an evening meal about 15 minutes' drive away.

Convient Guesthouse along the ring road

Very convenient guesthouse right along the ring road. Spacious rooms. Communal dining area with limited appliances (I wish the drive was available to guests and not just a microwave). The front desk woman is very nice and very helpful and does everything from check in to check out, breakfast (which is included) and cleaning.

Minuses: Poor bathroom design - the sink size was on par with plane lavatories, and the shower flooded the whole floor on use. The only table was tiny and unstable. Pluses: Temperature control on wall. Reasonably clean. Staff seemed nice. Neutral: Breakfast had all the basics but was probably bottom half of the breakfasts we had in Iceland. They have added nightstands via the stackable type of stool - not a real problem but doesn't make you feel great about the price. Note that if you want to use the microwave, that room is locked around 9 pm. Half the rooms have good views but the other half face the parking lot.
