We have stayed at the Honua Kai resort multiple times since the early 2000s and always have a wonderful time. We were very impressed with the check in/out process and whenever we reached out to the host for a request (trash bags, fan, etc) we were taken care of right away. A few things to note that take this property from 5 to 4 stars: The biggest inconvenience for our group is that there are not two queen beds in the 3rd room, but a full and twin. It worked for our party, but there's no way you can fit two couples in that room as the capacity suggests. The unit is also in the hustle of the resort, so you hear everything, which was not an issue for us outside of having to hear Duke's squeaky exhaust belt all day when we were out on the lanai. We had a little one who took multiple naps a day so we were out there a lot. We understand that that's out of the host's control, but think it's still worth mentioning. Overall, we were happy with the unit and look forward to visiting Honua Kai in the future.

Enjoyed the condo very much. It is beautiful, large and was very clean. We would love to stay there again.Our only issue was that the elevator closest to the unit from the parking garage was out of service for our entire visit.

Perfect views!

This property is perfect for all of your friends and family. We had twenty-three people at one time in many different units, but this one was used for our main family gatherings. The BBQ on the deck was a great way to save money and meet all together. The views, the pools, the restaurant, all very good and so much fun!! We will return if we can. Great resort for all of us!!

We have stayed at the property number of times. This is the first time we have had bug problems. Cockroaches and other bugs. Had to call for exterminator three times before the problem was taken care of . That left us three days pretty much big free, not good!

Great place to stay! Home away from home for us. It was very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the ocean views, was able to watch the whales from the deck, and to see the amazing sunsets. A very convenient and accommodating place to stay even with a larger group.

Amazing condo that anyone would be lucky to stay in!

We feel so lucky to have found this condo for our recent vacation. The best of the best, even for those with high standards. It does not get better than this one! Amazing views and location on a great property. Condo itself well appointed and comfortable. Only note is with regard to the check in process - they will not let you check in even one minute before 4 pm, even if the unit is clean and ready. That was a bit of a bummer as we would have loved to get settled after a long day of travel.

Best view!

We absolutely loved our stay at this unit! It has the most amazing view. The beds are comfortable and it’s huge with plenty of room for everyone. There isn’t a better location. The wrap around lanai is incredible. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could want or need. Both indoor and outdoor dining. The grill on the porch was so convenient and amazing. A few minor things I would suggest. When you are renting a unit at this price point, you don’t expect to see walls covered in scratches and scuffs… or for the carpet to be filthy and stained. The walls were a bit dirty as well. There was a new tv stacked in front of an old Tv in one of the bedrooms, which was odd and we were never able to figure it out and use it. The outdoor furniture shouldn’t be completely falling apart. These were minor issues, but when you’re paying that much per night you really should have these items in better condition . We have stayed at many units at Honua Kai and this by far has the best view and is amazing. It just needs some small maintenance type things. I would also suggest leaving a vacuum for longer stays (I assume most who use this large unit have children) and a vacuum would’ve been helpful.

As beautiful as advertised. Kitchen was well appointed. Bedding and towels were top notch. Only one minor issue in entire unit. Primary bedroom lanai door has beautiful Roman shade that was not functioning. Would stay again.

Beautiful and first-rate location

This is a beautiful property, well represented by the photos in the add. Comfortable beds (firm), beautiful view and well stocked kitchen with cooking and serving pans/dishes. Condo is very clean, quiet and a wonderful large patio with fantastic views. We would definitely rent here again! Our suggestions for owner are minor: more dish towels, potholders and maybe a cookie sheet because the broiler pans are not suitable for heating items in oven. The property itself is well kept and beautiful. The pools are warm and so is the ocean. The beach is sandy but not very suitable for swimming do o the coral along the waters edge. Once you get past that the water is great!!! Thanks again!!
