It was so good to be back on Brices Creek as my grandparents lived here when I was a child. The fishing with a cane pole and some night crawlers is still wonderful. The tiny house was quaint and nice, but I had real difficulty climbing the ladder to the loft bed. I slept on a very uncomfortable futon as a result both nights. The road noise is also rather loud as Brices Creek road is always busy. Keeping the AC on helps with that. The thing I disliked was that the firepit was kept smoking all day long and the smoke blew my houses way the entire time (rather annoying), so I could not sit outside on the porch, as it was making me cough constantly. Of course, that meant for me, a nice alternative was sitting on the dock fishing or watching the osprey's nest across the creek. When the family renting the grey goose checked in then it was a bit awkward to be sitting on the dock while they were on the porch, but it worked. The creek is beautiful and peaceful. I never saw Jeff; that was not a bad thing. There were some construction workers, but they waited to do things until after 9 or 10am. Jeff's done a nice job with his property. It is a nice place. I would stay again, maybe in the house next door so the smoke didn't blow my way.
