Wifi was unreliable. Telephone tech support was excellent, the support from the hotel close to non existent although one staff member, Dawn, did try to help but the problem lay with their sub-standard system.
Extreme foul language heard from staff members at reception. Attitudes differed markedly between employees, some of whom gossip about guests.
Housekeeping only attends each room once per week, floor and surfaces filthy. Between services you are expected to attend reception to collect supplies such as loo paper, clean towels or bed linen then make up the bed yourself.
The entire property smells unpleasant.
A shuttle service is advertised but does not exist, no airport transfer is available.
The advertised breakfast included in the room rate does not exist, either. There is no room service and no kitchen on the premises. There is a store cupboard near reception, most items past the use by date. There are no grocery stores in walking distance.
The pool is empty and out of use. Most washing machines and dryers are broken. There is no working CCTV and no evidence of security. A guest's vehicle was stolen out of the car park.
Sub-standard room included broken lights, leaking lavatory, leaking kitchen faucet from which water bubbled up under the floorboards - it took a few days to be replaced. Bathroom extractor fan broken and "none available".
Only one of the two elevators was working and that was shared with contractors who were attending to renovations.
