Great location for visiting the Loire valley

Andre and Nicole have done very well with the limited space their buildings present. Everything is brand new it seems. The breakfasts were over the top as far a quality and quantity. We were there in strawberry season and were provided with a bowl every morning, along with other items from the list they present.

Perfection

After the hustle and bustle of Paris this was just what our family (my wife and our two sons) needed. Andre and Nicole were the perfect hosts and the rooms are very modern while maintaining the historic character of the building. Within an hour of arriving Andre had the four of us on bikes peddling our way to Chambor to admire the chateau. On our return we took advantage of the fantastic heated pool. Waking up to pastries, fresh coffee, homemade jams and fresh squeezed orange juice made everyone's morning. Note that if you are exploring the area by bike Manor at the End of the Bridge is nicely located within easy distance of at least three great chateaux with bike friendly low traffic routes available. Can't wait to go back!

Very welcoming

Really excellent base for our early season trip to see the chateau. Nicole and Andre could not have made us feel more welcome. They and their family are delightful. There were flowers, wine and homemade biscuits to great us and then when we left we were presented by a wooden candlestick made by Nicole and Andre's son. The bed and breakfast includes various pastries, french bread, homemade jams, fresh fruit and cereal. We came down at about 8:30 am everyday to find all that we needed to sort ourselves out. The self-catering part is if you book both rooms you get a free rein in the kitchen/dining/living area downstairs. In terms of accomodation it was very comfortable. We went in March and the heating inside was excellent and just right. The showers were also hot and powerful. Both double bed rooms had ensuite shower rooms and toilets with automatic lights (very useful at night). The kitchen/dining/living open plan area has all the appliances that you will need including a dishwasher. A lack of baking tray and a square baking dish were all that I missed but I cook a lot. A tin-opener was quickly provided on request (perhaps the person before us had nicked it). There is a large flat screen T.V. The living room area part of the downstairs is as small as it appears in the picture but we did not go on holiday to watch T.V. If you do not speak French then Nicole and Andre's granddaughter does very well. There is off street gated parking. We would return.

Top à tous les niveaux mais trop petit pour 6....

Nous avons été comblés: le site, la piscine, la proximité de Chambord, l'accueil surtout!! Notre appartement était très soigné mais malheureusement un peu étroit pour 2 adultes et 4 enfants. Mais nous recommandons l'endroit et bravo à André et Nicole.

Modern und komfortabel mit ganz wunderbaren Vermietern

Wir waren mit zwei Kindern und Kleinkind bei André und Nicole. Das Haus ist gut gelegen als Ausgangspunkt für Schlossbesuche. Chambord ist in 20 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Unsere Fahrräder hatten einen Unterstand. Die Kinder waren total zufrieden mit dem Pool. Das Highlight ist das fantastische Frühstück mit den selbstgerechten Konfitüren. André und Nicole sind sehr aufgeschlossene und freundliche Menschen. Auch der kleine Gourmet Minus war uns ein hervorragender Gastgeber. Wir werden den Aufenthalt bei ihnen in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten.

Ons eigen kasteel tussen de kastelen

We hebben genoten van de gastvrijheid van de attente monsieur André en madame Nicole tijdens ons verblijf van twee weken. Wij verbleven in het nieuwe appartement l'Hirondelle (zwaluw) geschikt voor een gezin met vier personen en de eerste week voor onze volwassen kinderen ook nog twee aparte kamers. Een mooie plek om uit te rusten: de verzorgde tuin aan de rivier (met tafeltennistafel), een prachtige eetplek onder de boom en het heerlijke zwembad. En tegelijk een locatie om de kastelen in de omgeving te bekijken, van Chambord tot Amboise, van Talcy tot Chenanceau. De bakker was om de hoek en de grote supermarkt van Auchun op een kwartier rijden.
