We love staying at this historic hotel. The nostalgia, as well as the location, is what draws us here. Our room is usually dated but clean and comfortable, and that's what matters to us. We like the lobby/ bar area atmosphere, and the breakfast buffet is usually good.Renovations and updates are being made throughout the hotel, but the historic feel remains.

The room was neglected. The AC did not work properly. It was musty it stank the carpet that it was dirty. The bath was dirty. The walls have a lot of water damage. It's the worst place I ever stayed in. My life room service was unavailable. I could not order room service meds were uncomfortable I killed w roaches you have to pay for parking to and no control of acdinner

This hotel is sad. We got to the room and were quite disgusted. It is a shame that a once beautiful hotel is so dirty. We turned right around and checked back out. Stains on the carpet. Shower was filthy. We have stayed in many old hotels. The Adolphus, the Menger, and the Galvez. They were all like walking back in time and were very clean. It is a shame because we really expected the Arlington to be the same. Far from it. I hope someone will buy it someday and restore it to what it could be. The front desk and the valet both were not at all surprised at our leaving. Obviously we were not the first and unfortunately won’t be the last to leave.

Staff was helpful, comfortable bed, really good music in the lobby at night, and we enjoyed a mineral bath in the bath house. Keep in mind it is a very old hotel and there is lots of upkeep. Wasn’t as clean as we usually like it, there was wallpaper and paint peeling off the walls and very worn chairs in the lobby and room.
