USED NICOTINE POUCHES ON THE GROUND, HOLE IN THE FLOOR, DOORKNOBS FALLING OFF - FAMILIES BEWARE!I’ll start with the positives. Before booking, the owners of this listing were kind & responsive. When we needed to adjust our dates by 1 night they were flexible & accommodating. The beds at the house were neatly made & the house was warmly heated.Sadly, that’s where the positives end. Our 5-night stay did not meet our expectations. Our main concern was the safety & cleanliness in the house. If you have children, I definitely advise you to stay elsewhere. Our concerns included:- A literal hole in the floor (3 inches by 1 inch) in the main living area. You can see straight to the basement 10 feet below. Little feet beware!- Multiple used nicotine packets on the ground beside one of the beds (see photo). Think of a child finding these.- Most of the door knobs were essentially broken. I don’t think any of them locked, including bathrooms.- Beer caps on the front porch.- The front screen door is heavy & slammed VERY fast. I had real concerns for some of the children.- The fridge had expired products.- There was almost no hand soap in the house (we had to go buy some).We reached out to the hosts in detail about these issues after our stay to request a partial refund (which seemed reasonable) but they never responded. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but my family & I feel compelled to share this to help future guests understand what they’re getting into.
