Beautiful property but low stars due to poor instructions for entry issues and communication under mandated evacuation due to Hurricane Erin. (Only communication “House electric/elevator will cease at 10am” — time of nonresident evacuation order.). Owners not willing to discuss partial refund of 5 lost days. Be sure to have trip insurance!

Landshark is a very nice home with all amenities you need. Pool, hot tub and game room were certainly a plus with 7 children in our group. The view from each room is excellent. Loved that the beach was quiet and very accesible. Would certainly stay here again!

Landshark was the perfect house for our family vacation. The pictures and description were very accurate. The climb over the dune to get to the beach was a little difficult for some. A dock to the sound would push Landshark beyond perfect. Any issues we had were addressed promptly. It was the perfect house for a perfect vacation spot. Definitely pick the Landshark!

Breathtaking views

The house is gorgeous and the views of the sound and ocean were anazing. You could watch the sunrise and sunset from the decks. The polywoid chairs at every level made outdoor rekaxation a must. We loved the convience of the outdoor shower and the lovely pool and hot tub. Enjoyed all the extra spaces to join for a movie in the theater room or find some quiet time. We had 8 to 10 adults visiting during the week and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Great location in Hatteras

We had a group of 13 adults and 1 infant stay comfortably at land shark! The property was well equipped and communication prompt. It was also very clean, which is so important! Really enjoyed the proximity to the ocean and sound. Would stay again.

Nice property

Having rented a few times on the Outer Banks I had certain expectations. Generally they were all met. There is a very nice pool area with a hot tub. The heated pool was great and we used it quite a bit. The elevator really came in handy with three of us having issues with the stairs. The living areas were bright and had lots of seating at the table and in the living room. The kitchen had just about everything you could possibly need to cook meals including two ovens. We had plenty of space for our family to spread out and be comfortable. When we first arrived, unfortunately, two of the tubs needed to be cleaned out and there weren’t any cleaning supplies. Also we arrived about 1/2 hour early and had to sit outside and wait until exactly 4:00 before we could get into the house. The house is as advertised, but I think is a bit pricey. We rented other houses on OBX that were just as nice for less. Here you’re probably paying for the location, which is beautiful.

Fabulous Family Retreat

Land Shark was amazing with gorgeous views from every room! There was something to please everyone in our family of 17 (ages 5-71). Even the teenagers had a blast! We celebrated a 70th birthday, a 10th birthday, 3 lost teeth (the tooth fairy visited), and the Easter Bunny hopped around all four levels leaving treats! Weather was perfect as were the accommodations. Our host could not have been more gracious or responsive throughout the booking process and during our stay. The area was quiet and it was a wonderful getaway for our family to relax and enjoy the beach and beautiful house. It exceeded all our expectations!

Inside and outside all of the spaces are beyond imagination! The views were fabulous and we loved watching the activity behind us and the waves rolling in in front of us. Comfy, Cozy & So Clean

Loved everything. Beds so comfy. Four level living with heated pool and hot tub on 1, kids’ level with theater and game room on 2, adult kings each with private bath on 3, and 4th level living/dining/kitchen and another king with bath made this the perfect home for our family of 10. Decks and views abound! Quiet location with ice cream parlor and great pizza place in 1 mile walking distance. Loved it!

This property is in a great location… could use a bit of love that has started. We were traveling with 8 littles and there were nails and broken outdoor furniture…we apparently rented during transition of owners and property management… took a bit to get answers but were able to arrive, get in and enjoy a wonderful week!

Family Reunion

We choose a centrally location with beautiful views. It was the first time in the Outer Banks and could not have been more pleased. This home offered something for everyone, the elevator was key for my parents. Highly recommend.

2nd time staying here

This was our second time staying at Landshark, and we love this house! While there was an issue with the elevator, it was due to it being broken, and property management promptly sent someone out to fix it. The house owner and property manager did a great job communicating with me. The views and proximity to the sound and beach cannot be beat. I’m sure we will stay here again!

We had a great stay at Landshark! Very comfortable and accessible. I’m an amputee and the elevator made it easy for me to get everywhere. Several in our crew went out into the sound and got plenty of clams, oysters and scallops. We had ourselves a fresh seafood feast! The owner was very accommodating about any concerns we had and the property management company was on the ball to address any issues which were very few. Thanks again. It was a blast!

Great family location

We had 5 couples and 2 small children. We had a wonderful time at the house. It had everything we needed and more. The stairs are a bit much for the older folks so the elevator was very useful. We spent a lot of time on the top floor with 365 degree views of the ocean and sound. My only complaints would be that the living room furniture definitely needs a refresh. They have seen much better days. And the pots and pans probably need a refresh as well. Otherwise, our trip was perfect, despite a visit from Tropical Storm Idalia. We would definitely come back to the land shark.

We loved Landshark!

We had a great stay at Landshark! We had adults, teens, toddlers, and an infant and this house worked for all. Beautiful home, clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook in. We highly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again!
