Hands down the best!

This is our fifth(?) VRBO stay, and by far the most comfortably furnished accommodation we've stayed in. There was every comfort thought of and provided, and the rooms were inviting and so comfortable, we were able to enjoy the space and rest. The owner was very communicative and kind, but not overbearing. I cannot recommend this property enough!

The house is very nice and comfortable, with plenty of space inside and outside. I really liked that it had all the kitchen accessories, from pots to spices. Internet, TV's, washer & dryer machine, everything very nice. It's a shame that the weather didn't help us because it was raining from the moment we arrived and we had to go home a day early because there was a tornado watch & floods watch for the area. But other then that it was a nice place to be. We really enjoyed the house.

Independence Day

Highly recommend this cozy island house! Hosts have put a lot of time and talent into making their house welcoming and accommodating! We enjoyed the coffee bar, huge front porch, back deck, great place to wash the boat, comfy beds, quiet end of the road, clean, convenience, and just and overall cozy home. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great experience!

Great place for our Girls Trip!

Booked Willowberry for vacation with my 2 daughters and sister. We each had our own amazing bedroom. Home is nicely decorated. It is not on the water but that was fine for us! Short distance to the ferry to Cape Lookout located on the island. And approximately 35min easy drive to Atlantic Beach. We had a great time and will definitely book this again when in the area.

About my visit

Me and a group stayed at this home for about a week. They had everything we needed supplied. The only thing is that it’s a little far off from everything else. The communication with the owner was very easy and they helped us with everything we needed to know. I would really recommend staying at this amazing home!!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is super clean, well stocked kitchen, coffee bar & comfy beds. Space to park your boat and several cars is a bonus. Nice outdoor areas on front and back of the house. Owner is kind, helpful & responds quickly to questions or concerns. Super easy check in. Absolutely nothing negative to say. Enjoyed our trip!

Love Willowberry!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Willowberry House. It was a wonderful home base location for our many excursions to Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, and the “end of the road” on Harker’s Island to see the sunrise. The house was impeccable in every way — clean, cozy, well-stocked, and beautifully adorned. Simply spending time at the property was a highlight of our trip. Furthermore, hosts Brenda and Damon were clear and responsive, as well as so kind and helpful in their communications with us. We highly recommend the Willowberrry House!

Wonderful Stay....Great House!!!

My family stayed for 3-4 days at Harker's Island. The house is great, super clean, & just what we needed after a long road trip. The beds were all super comfy. The neighborhood was quiet & the drive to the island is lovely. Would definitely recommend the house to friends or family!

The Perfect Haven

This property made for the best family vacation we’ve had to date. It was close to everything, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed eating out and cooking in. This is a truly a slice of heaven on earth! We can’t wait to stay again soon ❤️

Absolutely splendid!

We’ve stayed at properties from Morehead to Atlantic. This was the first time we’ve stayed in Harkers island. Have to say this was by far the best yet. From the house, and location, every part of our stay was wonderful. We’ve found at most places there is one thing or another that could be better, but this place got it right! From the comfy beds, the nice shower heads, the roomy decks, right down to the nice coffee bar set up. The host covered all the details. Even had a nice book to explain and answer questions. We found plenty to see and do in the area. Great places to eat, and stores for this and that. Not far from Beaufort or Morehead either. We hope to go back again soon.

Best thanksgiving ever

Everything about this place was super easy, I have never stayed in a place that everything was laid out for you from a welcome package to the fish cleaning table , nice long driveway to back your boat in . I will definitely be back.

This house was perfect for our family of five. Everybody had their own space, the kitchen was well-stocked and it was in a quiet little neighborhood. Super clean as well!

Quiet Stay

Family Vacation 2022

The home is lovely. The owner provides little niceties like hotel style shampoo, coffees and creamer etc. All was very thoughtfully done. Contact with the owner was pleasant and helpful, very nice people.

Relaxing break!

We have just returned from a great few days on Harkers Island. The house is lovely, with 4 adults and 3 children we had plenty of room and enjoyed the outside deck each night. Their is plenty to see and do, our favorite trip being the Ferry across to Cape Point Look Out, just fabulous. On the ride over the kids saw a dolphin in the bay and we enjoyed seeing the pelicans and wild ponies. The beaches on the barrier island were beautiful, well worth walking the100yrds beyond the small shop to the Atlantic side and enjoying miles of unspoilt beaches and crashing waves. Beaufort has lovely restaurants and cute shops, great atmosphere in the evenings and good fun l walking through the Marina. Tim and his wife are great hosts and very helpful!

Fishing Trip

A group of four of us stayed for a week long fishing trip. The area is very quite. Great deck for relaxing outside. Very close to the marina where we keep our boat.

All around amazing

What a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time enjoying the area and loved staying at the Jolly Roger. The location is just a few minutes from the ferry to Cape Lookout, but we were pleasantly surprised to realize there was also public beach access just down the road as well. We were already fantasizing about coming back when our kids are older and can ride bikes there. A couple other things stood out about this location. First, the communication was excellent before, during, and after our visit. Tim and Angie went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared and had everything we need. There were so many little touches during our visit that continued to make us feel welcome. The kitchen was also one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve found in a vacation rental - we found all the spices, oil, and cooking implements that we needed. At the end of our week, all four of us couldn’t stop talking about how much we wished we could stay longer. If you’re thinking about a visit to the Jolly Roger - do it! You won’t be sorry!

Arrr, Matey!

We had a great week at the Jolly Roger! Very nice house and property. New deck around the back, and everything is very clean and very well kept. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves while at the house and perfect for our day trips. Short drives to Cape Lookout, Sand Dollar Island, and the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll make the Jolly Roger an excellent base camp for exploring the area. Tim & Angie were great hosts, kept in touch, and provided a personal touch for our grandson. Had a blast and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking. Thank you Tim & Angie for sharing your house with us!

A Wonderful Home Away From Home

The whole process was so easy. The owners were amazing through communication about the property and suggestions of what to see, even where to buy a good steak to grill. The house had everything we needed to make home cooked meals while visiting our son whose a Marine. The gift basket upon arrival was such a delightful and thoughtful gesture after driving 1300+ miles to get there. We enjoyed our adventures exploring the Outer Coast and were thankful to come "home" each night and hangout, watch a movie, listen to music, read book, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to go back and stay again!! Thank you!!
