Great location for our multi-day visit to the Hakone area. It was overlooking the lake and next door to both the Rope-way (Tram up to Gora) and the Pirate ship (which goes back and forth to the south end of the lake). The area had less traffic and was much quieter than expected. The hotel is new, modern with a great spa / Onsen baths and option to include meal at their large very nice / tasty buffet on site (very convenient). The rooms are super clean and very comfortable if a bit austere. The staff were all fabulous. Would definitely return to this hotel.
Excellent hospitality and service. Great variety of foods were served in buffet breakfast and dinner. I was surprised by the all you can drink beers, wine, sake and whiskey. The yakuta experience was also fun.
the hotel is very clean, the lake view is great, the buffet dinner offers a lot of selections

Great room and a beautiful resort! The buffet breakfast and dinner get repetitive after the first day, so two nights in Hakone feels just right.
The highlights were the yukata and the onsen—super relaxing. The public onsen, in particular, was fantastic!
We rented a traditional Japanese room which also included two single western beds and a small onsen on the porch. Felt like we were hidden in the trees with the best options for sleeping. The design of the room was efficient and thoughtful. Two meals per day are included and the buffet selection includes many Japanese food items which were well prepared. Western dishes are available as well. Japanese gowns are provided for wearing around the hotel along with many slipper options. Overall this resort offers a unique experience for foreign travelers. I highly recommend staying here.
