2nd Time Around...

This was my 2nd time to stay @ John's place. Such a great little beach house. I think it's just perfect. I will continue to come back. Perfect location and perfect view of the sunrise every morning. If you are looking for a relaxing and cozy place to stay, this beach house is it!

Perfect spot

Great location in sea isle. Front row with a good view. Was the perfect size for my family of four. We had some rain and the house came with lots of games so everyone was entertained. Overall very enjoyable

Made me sad

This was a bucket list trip for our family. I hoped to find a house we’d want to return to year after year. Sadly, this wasn't it. We wanted to leave the first day, but stuck it out longer, considering the 5-hour drive home. I just wish more effort had been spent maintaining the house than staging it with accessories & fake plants for snazzy rental photos. Cons: The entire house shook when anyone over 150 lbs walked across the floor. The toilet in the master was barely usable for anyone of average height due to it being jammed up too close to the shower. The drywall in the main bathroom looked like there had been 4 inches of standing water in the past. Towel holders were barely attached. All screens were ripped. Door was nearly impossible to lock, even with a video tutorial. The overstuffed couch with a dozen pillows seemed an illogical choice for a beach house. I shuddered wondering when it had last been really cleaned. The area under the house was like a construction zone with a mix of sand & mud. It was difficult for one of my family members and dog to navigate. She even fell in a large hole that wasn't visible because the grass was so high. After that, I had to carry her back and forth from the stairs to the sand. Due to the lack of pavers or planks on the ground, it wasn't possible to get in the house after rinsing our feet from either shower or hose without walking back in the sand and dirt. :-( Pros: oceanfront, pet friendly, comfortable downstairs beds

Serene Staycation - Sun Rise @ Sea Isle

Truly enjoyed my stay @ your property John and will definitely come back! Property was exactly as described and is situated in the perfect location. This is the ideal spot if you are looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle; situated right on the beach just steps from the water. The home was quaint and inviting. My favorite part of the trip was watching the sunrise against the ocean backdrop; simply breathtaking! John is very attentive and responsive. Beautiful home, breathtaking views, perfect staycation!

The house was the perfect beach getaway! Comfortable house that was spacious for 7 adults. A short walk to the beach and the outside shower was a huge plus! House was stocked with ALL kitchen needs.

Relaxing Family Beach Trip

We had a great family trip. The house in a perfect location, right on the beach. It had everything we needed— beach chairs, cabana, toys, games, charcoal grill. Rooms and beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen was nicely stocked we cooked or grilled every meal at the house. The Sea Isle community pool was also fun and easy to access. The host was quick to respond to every message and went above and beyond to make our stay great.

Beautiful views

Loved our stay. Plenty of room for two families of four. Bunk room is great for kids! Kitchen was well stocked and very user-friendly. Giant porch with a 24/7 view of the beach was the best part! We had a lovely time. Spent hours at the beach and hours on the porch. Made all our meals in the kitchen. Great communication with John. Thank you.

Comfortable Beach house

Beach house has a relaxing atmosphere inside and out. Nice spacious deck overlooking the beach to enjoy watching the sunrise. Comfortable furnishings and beds. For colder days plenty of games are provided.

Never, never never - Don't walk but run from this property

Upon arriving the maintenance worker handed my the keys. The front door is broke and a pain to close and lock. We have a two year old and he got out twice and there is no gate off of the balcony. After settling in the TV in the main room didn't work and the only TV was a very small one (ruku) in the bunk room. Tried to give our son a bath and there was no stopper in the tub. The water pressure in the shower actually bruised my wife's back. All the blankets and sheets had a very odd scent and were dirty. On top off everything we brought coffee but they don't even have basic things in the kitchen like sugar/sweetner packets. The stay was an absolute nightmare the the owner was rude and very unprofessional. I will never ever stay at a VRBO after this experience. The VRBO staff only cares about collecting their fees and does nothing for the consumer. The owner lied about saying that we broke "house rules" and VRBO just let this process happen. We didn't violate ANY rules and VRBO made us leave a day early. What a terrible property with even more terrible host. DON'T STAY, even if they pay you!

Perfect Location For Galveston

Wonderful location. Perfect beach wth hard, flat sand perfect for strolls, joggs or dog walks. Lounging on the patio can't be beat. Spectacular sunrises/ sunsets. Spent the Christmas week down there. We couldn't ask for a more responsive property manager. He kept us inthe loop 24/7.

Relax And Have Fun At The Beach

Great, affordable, front row beach house steps from the Beautiful beach and Gulf of Mexico. We were so excited to have some time off from work …and stepping into this adorable, well laid out beach house was the first amazing experience which got better and better through the week! Beautiful sunrises inside the coziness of your beach cottage, or steps to the beach for a morning serine walk with nature…Coffee on the deck with the soothing sounds of the crashing waves. Communicating with the owner was extremely easy and he attended to our every need immediately! Truly an awesome experience. Amazingly comfortable beds and furniture to lounge and watch movies on rainy days… you never have to leave your home away from home. We planned menus and brought our food and just relaxed cooking and enjoying our meals looking out at the beautiful Gulf of Mexico! You can see the blue water from the balcony views 🥰😎 Relax and enjoy a glass of wine or ice tea in the evenings taking in the full fun day at the beach steps away;), feeling the sun and watching the clouds passing from the views in the beach cottage…walks on the beach picking up seashells…at perfect sunsets… Just focusing on the amazing Gulf of Mexico! Everything about this little beach house is fantastic!!! I would definitely rent this house again & can’t wait to come back for another week or two!!! 🙏 Thanks so much John!

Great location, amazing porch views

Loved the location. Sea Isle is very quiet yet close enough to all the activity in Galveston. The house is a great location! Amazing views from the porch and far enough from the public beach access that even on Sat it wasn’t too crowded. The house was a great size for our group (3 adults and 2 kids). Easy communication with owner. There are a few things in the house that could use a refreshing (new shower curtain, the blinds are broken and the rug in the bunk room is stained) but overall very clean. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. There’s a shower outside for washing off sand, and a couple of beach chairs provided. Overall a great beach rental!
