So we got to the home it was located on the beach , nice location, got things unpacked went into town and ate , come back sat on back porch looked at the water , my grandkids wondered around the place enjoying the ocean , next morning we go to the beach leaving the grandkids to sleep in , around 12 or so one of the kids come to me that he can’t wake up my grandchild we ran up to see what was wrong and he was in labored breathing and blue , I started cpr on him and called 911 , I worked on him for 15-20 min before EMS showed up I explained to them what I found when I walked upstairs with him, not breathing and being blue. I told them that I don’t know what he could’ve got into but he acts like he has O. D ing I asked them to use Narcan on him. They did so on my request and he came to immediately asking me what happened I explained to him that he died. The paramedics asked him what he had taken, and he explained that he had picked up a vape that was left behind on in the home it turns out that it was laced with a narcotic he had no idea he was just a 14-year-old kid being a kid thank God we caught it in time, anyways we spent three days at UTMB, I explained all of this to the owners of the property and the response was thank God he’s alive. I told them that whoever is cleaning their home is not cleaning it thoroughly and what was found on the property and what occurred I was not offered any compensation for what happened, it would be easy enough for them to verify my story
