Wonderful Vacation Home

My husband and I stayed at Sunny and Chair for four nights with our baby (7 months) and two dogs. We had the best time. Part of that was because of the close proximity to the beach and the house was extremely comfortable. They had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The house was clean and spacious. We could see the sun set every evening from the deck and the seating below the deck made for a nice breezy hangout spot as well. My husband and some family that were staying down the road were able to go fishing at night. The marina had lights and was not crowded. Our dogs also enjoyed their stay. The large backyard was great for them to run around and play. Overall, we had a very pleasant and memorable stay!

Our family really enjoyed the view and the yard for our dog. The house was adorable and clean. We would stay here again when in Galveston.

We loved the location of this property. The view was great! The host was quick to reply when needed and even let us add a day on to check in early last minute. The home did have plenty of room and a great deck for our party of 8 but it did feel pretty tired. The doors were all very loud to open and close and woke everyone in the house up, the bathrooms didn’t have enough towels and some of them were sour, overall it was a little dirty and dingy. They also no longer had a propane grill on the property which was a major selling point to us and wasn’t communicated to us ahead of time so that was a bummer.

Weekend Getaway

Very pleased with our stay and accommodations. Home was clean, well maintained and gorgeous views of the ocean. Great location and easy to get to. Family friendly, perfect for my 3 year old son, parents and 2 dogs as well. Kathy was very responsive and informative. Would highly recommend this home to family and friends!

Great getaway

The property is a perfect property for a large family gathering. Multiple beach accesses away from the crowd of Galveston yet close enough to do anything in Galveston with ease. Definitely recommend.

Annual Family Vacation

We’ve stayed at this home for several years. We love the neighborhood and the location of the home. The porch is one of our favorite places to be. It has a shady sitting area as well as sunny to enjoy the beach view and breeze. We’ll be back!

Wonderful Stay at Sunny and Chair

This was a lovely, clean house with really nice amenities. Great location with outstanding gulf views. Loved the large deck and colorful chairs. Seating on the upper deck was plentiful and the lower area was also very nice with lots of places to sit and a wonderful, refreshing outdoor shower. The yard was fenced and the perfect place for our pup to run around. The neighborhood though a bit far out on the West End, was very quiet with a nice pool and fishing dock. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect house for family and dogs

We stayed at this house back in November, and they’ve made even more lovely upgrades since then. Nice new decorations are noted throughout the house, and a new TV that is compatible with more streaming services. The house is just perfect. Very clean, has a lot of kitchenware, dog bowls, random things that you will need when staying a long time. The deck and downstairs is well maintained- fence in good condition to keep dogs in. Super close to the beach, and the beach that it’s close to is not crowded at all- you can drive your car right on the sand. Maybe we were just lucky but we experienced no mosquitos at all either. This will be our “go to” place for many years to come.

Beach Trip

Everything was great, location is spot on, plenty of space for everyone, yard was great for the dogs, outdoor shower was handy for coming in from the beach. Be sure to bring Off and a fogger as the mosquitoes are viscious if you want to sit outside at sunset. Also bring bath soap because none is provided. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we can’t wait to go back!!!

Perfect Family Christmas

We had the most wonderful time enjoying a non traditional family Christmas, amazing views of the ocean, property was perfect, beds were very comfy and yard was perfect for our fur babies.

Great get away

We stayed here for the thanksgiving break. We had a personal emergency and the host was super accommodating to our situation. This house is PERFECT for dogs- the yard is fenced in and it’s a super short walk to the beach for them if you don’t want to load them in the car after being sandy. Easy place to wash them downstairs. The house sleeps quite a few people, there was enough room for all of us. Great view of the beach. Very limited tv channels, but they have Netflix. We had a great time and will DEFINITELY book again.

Estwick Family Stayca

I wanted to do something special for my family after my mom had been in the hospital, so I rented a vacation spot and took everyone to the beach. The house was pretty much as described online and we enjoyed ourselves immensely, having coffee on the balcony and watching the sunrise. There were a few things I would recommend to the property manager for future renters; my son was very disappointed to see there was no basketball goal as shown in the pic, we did not anticipate the mosquitoes being so bad, so having lots of bug spray in the house would be a great help & the essentials (toilet paper) didn't last for a stay of 11 people, just so guests would not have to think about the little things and can enjoy their stay more, instead of running to the store. Overall, the house, location and experience was worth it. It's a beautiful rental!
