Best Buy for your money

This is the Best Buy for your money for an over night stay before cruising. I paid double what I paid for this room the last time we were here and this place was nicer. If your looking for a budget luxury stay, this is it.

Stayed here one night before the cruise. Nice location. Was able to walk to the beach and grab some donuts on the way. Felt safe. Never received communication from host so ended up calling after check in time started. Once checked in everything was fine.

Overnight before a cruise

We were leaving on a cruise and wanted to be close to the port. This was less than 5 minutes away. There’s a Walgreens a block away which was convenient for last minute items. The room was very clean, nice perk like a keurig for a quick cup of coffee in the morning. The biggest surprise perk I didn’t realize was laundry on the facility. They had a couple pods for use and free washer and dryer. I was in the other hallway so did have to exit outside to walk to the other side but only a few steps away and it was great to do a quick load while on the road. Definitely would choose this again if we cruise out of Galveston again. The property owner sent a message with what to do at arrival and we were greeted by a housekeeper to give a quick property run down.

Excellent

Definitely a great place to stay while in Galveston! Very clean, very quiet, comfortable bed, lots of things you might need in a kitchen and the tv is great and a nice size! Highly recommend!

Good pre-cruise accommodation

The Botanical is a pretty building and a nice room with adequate amenities. The neighborhood didn't seem delightful, but it seemed safe enough. I was surprised that several dishes were clearly dirty, there was hair in several parts of the shower, and the floors could've used more attention, especially in the corners. But overall, it was a decent, safe place to stay before embarking on a cruise. Very convenient to RC terminals and also to some good restaurants. I should also add that, like nearly every rental of this type, the window coverings were inadequate to darken to room for anything like sleeping in. I've come to expect that from VRBO and that other website, though. Bring a sleeping mask.

Wonderful Choice!

This place and our host Mike were absolutely wonderful! We arrived very late (almost midnight) due to traffic and thick fog. Still, our host met us at the front door just as pleasant as could be, to show us around and give us all the information we needed. The room was just as fabulous as the listing photos. Brand new, sparkling clean, and had everything we needed! We felt extremely safe at The Botanical and in the surrounding neighborhood. I will absolutely stay again and recommend it to my friends!
