The home was very well appointed with everything we could ever need and access to the beach was just a short walk. We also could sit on the patio and listen to the beach. The tiki bar below was a dream for my husband to watch football and enjoy Sunday afternoon.

We had an amazing stay at the Summer Beachside Retreat! The house is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and just a short walk from the beach. The views were beautiful and the home itself had everything we needed for a comfortable family trip, from a well-stocked kitchen to beach towels and boogie boards. My kids used them every single day and had the time of their lives riding the waves.Nicole was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, making check-in and any questions a breeze. Highly recommend this rental for families looking for a relaxing, fun-filled beach vacation. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great Oceanside House

The house was exactly as advertised. The host had very thoughtful supplies, so we had most everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach, and the downstairs is really nice and covered. We hope to be back in the future!

Great time!

We had a great time at the tiki house! The house was great for what we needed. The downstairs porch is amazing and we stayed down there the majority of the time. The beach was very easy to get to with the whole family. The only things we did not enjoy were the mosquitoes, they were horrible. Also, there is a house directly in front of the tiki house that blocks a lot of the view of the beach but you can still see it from the side. All around it’s a great house and the host is amazing as well.

Great house & location!

Loved how close the house was to the beach and the ground level entertainment area! Although the landscaping was dead & just not upkept, probably due to the cold weather, we still enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend this house to persons with kiddos that want their own space. Great deck to watch sunrise. Would definitely book again.

Family getaway

Beachside family retreat was amazing! Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful accommodations. We had 3 elementary aged children, grandparents and the house was great for everyone. The private beach is about 25 steps away and you can watch the family from either balcony’s. The house was very clean, spacious, well stocked with all your cooking needs, the AC worked great and the board games were perfect for rainy days. All the rooms were super clean with comfy beds! The tiki bar was such a nice touch to a beach house!

Great get away!

This property is amazing and has everything you need. It is about a 1 minute walk to the beach and the views are amazing from the balconys, even being on the second row. We had 5 adults and 6 kids and all had a blast with bunk rooms for the kids, and all sets of adults got their own room. Kitchen had more than most rentals we are used to, something we will know for next time...we can pack much lighter! Plenty of beach items available for use. The Tiki bar/outside area was a blast! Outside tv, dart board, and cornhole made for fun evenings after relaxing on the beach all day. Close to store for cooking ingredients we forgot. We will definitely be back!

Quick getaway

Our family decided to have a quick 3 night getaway to Galveston. We stayed at Tiki Time for the first time. Nicole was very helpful with the booking process. Great location! The kids enjoyed walking to the beach in the early morning and evening to look for shells. We did have an issue when we checked in with the kitchen faucet that was quickly taken care of by Nicole. Great communication! Thank you!

Great family stay

We enjoyed the convenient location to the beach. With little kids and old people, being close to the beach is worth the extra price. I’ve rented houses in this neighborhood but across the street and this is much better as far as running back to the house and not having to pack for the beach. I don’t know what the recent reviewer was referring to when they said this house “needs updating.” House was nicely decorated and very clean. Even the front loading washing machine didn’t smell. The adult beds were very comfortable- mattresses were firm and comfortable, bedding was nice (I have rented many beach houses where the beds are terrible and the linens are scratchy and uncomfortable and was glad this house had the kind of beds I expect at home.) Kitchen was very well stocked with basic spices and every pot, pan, bowl, etc that we needed and we cooked every meal at home on this trip. Downstairs area was perfect for kids and pups as it was totally fenced. Tiki bar was nice. There were many outdoor places to sit and visit. Lots of beach toys for the kids. The kids (teens) did report the bunks were uncomfortable. That is the only problem anyone in our group reported to me. Overall a fun time. Would highly recommend. Price is a bit high for Texas (it’s the same that I pay in the Virgin Islands), but house was great. Don’t leave anything on the beach though because someone did steal our brand new shelter. Not the house/ owner’s fault.

Needs work.

The location of the property and how close to the beach was great. The pictures do not show the house directly in front of it so the pictures are a little deciving. The tiki bar was very cool and we used it a lot, very nice addition. The remodel of the inside of the home was average due to the floor is very unlevel and coming apart so you have to watch where you step. The ceiling in the great room had a hole in it which I immediately called the owner about. Also we a small A/C issue that (me) the renter had to fix with the help of a technition over the phone. Also the deck is very dangerous as it was falling apart (I will try and attach pictures) but we didn't notice this until our teenager leaned against it the night before we left. We did ask for an hour extension and the owner gladly allowed us to do so, that was very nice. Lastly the owners have multiple cameras placed all over the property. I think I counted 4 cameras total (outside). Which gave my family the impression that we were being watched. I mean why do you need those many cameras? Overall 3 out of 5 stars !!

Perfect Beach House!

You can tell the owners put thought into every detail! This place was beautiful inside and has an amazing outdoor experience! Great views, right on the beach, the Tiki Bar was a huge hit! We loved our stay! Our family will come back every summer! Everything you could want in a vacation house!

Happy Place Tiki House!

Wonderful place to have a family vacation. Tiki house beautiful! The family loved the closeness to the beach. Many sunrises and sunsets were viewed from the deck. Will definitely recommend this beautiful beach house.
