The Outpost was even better than we expected. The place was very clean with beautiful views. The propert was impeccable. Had everything we needed for a short weekend getaway. So quiet and peaceful and the place was decorated with phenomenal taste. We will definitely keep this place on our short list.

The cabin was beautiful with amazing views. It was cozy and inviting. The cabin came stocked with everything we needed. Our host was very responsive and very friendly. We loved the area and were not too far from Main St. it’s a very relaxing cabin to unwind at. The swing was my favorite spot listening to the wind chimes enjoying the views. The bed was very comfortable and the large master bath had so much room along with the closet. We will definitely be back to visit this beautiful cabin!

Peaceful and serene

Loved the cottage and all the artifacts. Comfortable bed. The area was serene and peaceful; very nice sitting on the back porch in the evening watching the sunset and hummingbirds.

Peaceful and relaxing

My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our weekend stay here. The house is cozy and the attention to detail is incredible! We had so much fun exploring the land and playing the fun games they had. We definitely plan to come back again with our kids next time.

We felt very welcomed immediately. The cabin was absolutely amazing!! From the views in the back of the property and from the very nice seating area complete with fire pit and the hot tub close by. All the amenities you would need for cooking and/grilling. We prepared and made our entire Thanksgiving meal! So grateful for the opportunity to stay at The OutPost. We loved all the military memorabilia and the thoughtfulness put into honoring all of our country’s heroes. We very much enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning again! A magnificent weekend at a hidden gem

Our stay at The Outpost was absolutely incredible!! The attention to detail in everything, from the little welcome table and fully stocked kitchen to all the easter eggs hidden around the cabin, was truly amazing. We had such a great time trying to find and solve all the little puzzles, walking down the little trail and enjoying the view while making our own stack of rocks, and playing Scrabble, dominoes, and Operation! The hosts provide everything for you, minus the food, so after a trip to HEB in Fredericksburg, we didn't have to leave the cabin for anything which was perfect for a relaxing weekend. We also never got tired of reading all the first responder stories and honoring their legacy. This cabin is truly a hidden gem, and to make our experience even more amazing, they allowed us to host a small family gathering for our wedding! The views are beautiful and we made a lot of wonderful memories. Thank you Lori and Mike for an unforgettable amazing weekend, and we will definitely stay here again!!

Quiet, secluded, fun place to stay. Incredibly glad we chose this place!

This place was everything we expected and more! The listing very accurately describes this place. Amazing views, quiet seclusion, lots of fun activities available, close to enchanted rock, and a place to make wonderful memories. It had every dish, utensil, appliance, etc. we could possibly need in the kitchen, including lots of consumable items (spices, all the ingredients for s'mores, olive oil, coffee, tea, popcorn, and much more). There were so many useful items for anyone traveling with kids, babies, or dogs. It's very obvious how much thought the owners put into this place. Including all the fun Easter egg puzzles they put together. We were easily able to accomplish our goal of unplugging and unwinding by focusing on the activities provided. We didn't turn on the TV once. Enchanted rock was amazing and only a short drive away. Highly recommend a day trip there for the hiking and awesome views. Then finish the evening with dinner on the back patio while watching the sunset. I truly appreciate the owners' conservation efforts and the educational material provided in the guest guidebook. Plus, there are quite a few nature identification books to peruse. Overall, my only regret is that we didn't get to stay one more day. We were here for 3 nights, and we still ran out of time to solve all the puzzles and checkout every detail of the house.
