We had a wonderful one-night stay at Cedar Haus with Porch Light Hospitality on April 11–12, 2026. The modern 2BR/2BA guesthouse was spot-on with the listing—clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and exactly as pictured, with a private porch that became our favorite spot to unwind after tastings. What truly stood out was the unique rural charm of the Grün Meadow property, where we enjoyed watching cattle graze, spotting deer in the evenings, and soaking in the peaceful wildlife all around us, all while being just a short drive from downtown Fredericksburg’s wineries, breweries, and quirky spots. The hosts were responsive and accommodated our early parking request, making everything seamless and stress-free. We’d highly recommend Cedar Haus and would book again in a heartbeat!

This was a wonderful quiet place, we enjoyed all of the animals to include lots of deer, jack rabbits, cows and a couple of really cute donkey's too..The house was very clean and modern with everything we needed for our stay.We took advantage of the hot tub and tv outside as well as the fire pit.Thank you for a wonderful carefree stay!

Adorable Getaway!

The home was adorable! Just as cute in person as depicted online, no trick photography. Not only was it stylish and well-maintained, it was on a beautiful piece of property. There were deer everywhere, as well as rabbits, pheasants (or something similar), and other wildlife. We loved that it was not in the middle of downtown but very close and easy to get to. Kitchen was well stocked with nice clean pots, utensils, etc. Would highly recommend this place!

A little slice of paradise

Cedar Haus was an amazing stay! This home was a great place to truly relax and disconnect from our busy lives. There is a beautiful porch on every side, so a breeze can always be found no matter what time of day it is. The property itself is just beautiful and well maintained. We spent so much time relaxing outdoors. Loved the firepit and hot tub. The home decor is updated and elegant. They even took the time with little touches like fresh local coffee grounds, soaps and shampoo...we really appreciated that. We will stay here again next time we are back in the Fredericksburg area!

Outstanding property!

This was the perfect place to stay to enjoy everything that the Fredericksburg area has to offer! The home was so comfortable and clean. Every aspect of the home was appointed perfectly. The beds were so comfortable. Anything that you may need was thoughtfully included. Of course the hot tub and fire pit were top on our favorites list! Every side of the house on the outside had comfortable seating to view the gorgeous setting of the hill country. The interior had large clean windows to see the same views from every room. Cozy in a thunderstorm! A bonus was being able to enjoy watching the Hereford bulls graze on one side of the house and deer bed down on the other. The property was in a perfect location, so as to be close to town but away from the crowds. Communications with Porch Light was awesome. We look forward to staying at Cedar Haus again on our next Fredericksburg trip!
