Great place!

Very fun and comfortable place to stay! Great views and easy walk to town. Kitchen was pretty well appointed making it easy to cook too!

Great location near the beach and the town. We could hear the lake waves from our rooms. The house was clean and comfortable our group of 8 adults.

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for a big family, typical lake house style with its own charm and touches. You could feel the family vibe to it. The best part was the location - the stairs down to the beautiful beach were in the backyard basically and you can walk downtown (10 mins).

Property manager was super responsive. Beautiful location, views, and a short walk to some great eats shopping. Our dogs enjoyed lounging in the backyard too. Highly recommend for any family lake getaways!

This is a nice place. The location is great. The home has stairs to the main living area and another flight of stairs that leads to most of the bedrooms. It was clean but could use some updating. The beds were uncomfortable. The view of the lake is obstructed by a line of overgrown bushes.

Beautiful place

Group of friends and I come up to Frankfort every year for ice fishing. Had never stayed here before but was perfect for the 6 of us. Amazing views and great location.

Great Lakes Getaway

Great Lakes Getaway may be the perfect home! The house is beautiful, well appointed and has plenty of space- and I don’t think the location could be more perfect! From the spectacular views of the lake to the short walk to Main Street- it was exactly as described and more! We can’t wait to return! Jean was fantastic to work with as well!

My family had a very pleasant weekend stay here. Well stocked/organized kitchen, beautiful spot on the lake. They even went the extra mile to get things plowed when our weekend got very snowy.

Amazing Lake Michigan Views

This is our new favorite Lake Michigan place to rest and restore from a very hectic life. Our family enjoyed every view and the convenience of walking downtown to see a movie, eat, and even go to an art gallery.

Family vacation 2025

We were visiting the upper peninsula of Michigan and were coming from Mackinaw Island. We wanted to see sleeping Bear Dunes and the house was close and wonderful from walking on the shore and the lighthouse,to dinner in the quaint little town to boating on Crystal Lake there was something for everyone Would definitely stay there again

Amazing location, outdated property. Jean the property manager was very helpful! While the house was well stocked with everything needed for an extended stay, new appliances would be great. All of the furniture is old and tired. Overgrown hedges block the lake view. We did enjoy our stay, except for the road construction in the neighborhood that forced everyone to park near Main Street and haul groceries up to the house. Two of our group are in their 80s, so it was a challenge for some. The view and location are 5 star, house is maybe 3 star max. But lots of potential with some updates.

House is in a fabulous location no doubt!! We had a couple issues but as they were reported they were taken care of. There were a couple things, like the roku tv access and the shade in the back that i should have requested help with but did not. Overall stay was good, plenty of space for large family or group. Overall the house is a bit dated, but functional.

The kitchen was excellent! Well stocked and perfect for family gatherings.The lake views were stunning! Every bedroom had lake views as well as the open living space. The bedrooms were lovely the only improvement that could be made is on the queen size beds. They were less comfortable than the double beds. The bathrooms were clean and well designed. The beach access and private deck area were awesome! Our entry information was easy and exit expectations were more than reasonable. This home is perfectly located to downtown shops and restaurants, within walking distance and for us near to our Michigan family. We have been to Frankfort many times but never in the fall. It is a must see time of year. We loved the family home atmosphere and history. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back!

We were in Frankfort with our grown children for a family wedding in the Crystal Lake area. There were nine of us, and the accommodation could not have been more ideal. The beautiful home is up the hill from the beach with magnificent Lake Michigan views and only a 10 minute walk to the charming restaurants and shops of Frankfort. There is spectacular hiking within a short driving distance to the north and south. Bikes, kayaks and SUPs are available to rent in downtown Frankfort at Crystal Lake adventure outfitters. We rode bikes one morning along the trails leading out of downtown. I believe the trail is 11 miles long, so it is a great trek out and back.We also had our daughter’s Australian Shepherd with us, and she enjoyed the small fenced yard and the hike down to the beach. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, extra blankets and towels.
