It was a beautiful place. It had all the items we needed to feel at home and cook a good meal. The location was perfect close to everything we needed - gas, stores, parks and fun getaways.

Clean and able to meet the needs of a large Family

Getting to the location was very difficult due to road closures and construction in the neighborhood and directly in front of the property. The host did not inform us of this situation and we were forced to endure the sounds of jackhammers from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The outside trash can was overflowing and looked as if it hadn’t been emptied in weeks. The adorable and entertaining backyard was overgrown with weeds ruining such a wonderful space. The lint trap for the dryer is broken and ruined a shirt by getting snagged on it in the drying process. The refrigerator ice dispenser is broken, also the refrigerator does not seem to be cooling well. All in all with a few adjustments I would use this property again, however once I attempted to contact the host to come to a resolution all communication has stopped.

Perfect for us!

We travelled with friends to Flag for a science field trip. The house was perfect for our needs (5 kids and 4 adults). The house was broken up nicely to meet our needs. Beds were comfy. We did not cook, but the kitchen was great with lots of counter space. Plenty of parking available. We hope to stay again!

Small for 14 people

The house was cleaner that past reviews. The house is not as big as it looks. There’s not enough seating for 12-14 and the water heater isn’t adequate. It’s on a busy street corner with a school across the street. We knew what the kids were having for lunch every day as we could hear the schools loudspeaker. Also, there’s a three car limit that is not in the description. If you have more than three cars, they can end your rental. This would be good to know before booking!I think communication could be improved and customer service is lacking.

Think twice about this Mountain Retreat

Poor communication on messaging platform. Had to track down property mgmt company on line to report issues. Did not get check-info until 1 hour before and then our check-in was delayed by 45min as housekeeping staff still there. Unable to use sofa sleeper as mattress was stained, had crumbs and sticky stuff. Not enough blankets for the number of beds. Towels bleach stained and smelled mildewy. We re-washed before using. Not enough pillows. Water/ice dispenser on fridge door was broken. Dishwasher not anchored to counter top - tips when unloading. Entry code did not work, had to call customer service to re-set. Backyard was unkempt. AC vent had months worth of dust built up on it. Management company offered to send housekeeping back but I cleaned it myself. Decor and remodeled portion of house are nice but housekeeping requires more attention and detail. Couches and end tables should be moved to vacuum and mop underneath. We found crumbs, toys and socks. Close to downtown so that's a plus. I was told owners are long distance so perhaps they are not aware of how it's being managed locally.

Horrible communication with host

This rental must be owned by a foreign entity or something. Messages to the host take days to be responded to and then only after a phone call is made to the host and a message is left. The phone is answered by a different person each time. I still have not received the promised refund for the additional day we canceled in a timely manner. We did not receive the check in address and door code until 3 p.m. the day of check in (for a 4p.m. check in). Family was traveling and needed the address earlier than that. This is a fun, clean, very nice property but the communication with the host was the worst I've even experienced when using VRBO.

DO NOT STAY HERE

We just got back from a month long road trip and this was our first stay. About and hour before we arrived we were told the A/C was broken but they were on top of it. Ok great. We arrived and started unloading when the property mgmt called and said they couldn’t get someone until after our departure but offered a refund if we stayed. We had 6 people and two dogs and it was 6pm. We took the offer only to receive a call 30 mins later after being settled that the owner denied that offer because we stayed. They never offered to bring us fans only 10% off the nightly rate. We argued with the property mgmt company only to receive 20% off the nightly rate. This is absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention this place was disgusting and falling apart. The property mgmt company asked for pictures which we sent them but heard nothing back. After our trip we contacted Vrbo only to be told that because we couldn’t/didn’t want to deal with this during our trip there’s nothing they can do to help us. This was our first and LAST time using Vrbo.

Flagstaff fun

This was a nice property. All the amenities worked and it was very comfortable. Communication with the host was ok, answers to our inquiries took awhile, but eventually we got answers. It would be very helpful to have more instructions regarding check out in particular when trash pick up was. We arrived and the trash cans were full and then apparently trash day was the day we checked out but we missed it and ended up taking our trash home with us, since we didn’t want to leave any outside of the cans. Other than that the location was great and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Lots of room

More than enough room for a big family. Expansive kitchen. Good accommodations (pots, pans, dishes, spices, etc.). An ice maker and a working coffee maker would have been nice though. One of the bathrooms had problems (leaking shower head and bad drainage) but there were two other usable showers that worked well. Well managed property but the host isn't real responsive.

Has potential but needs some changes

This stay started out rough. Just over an hour before we were supposed to check in, we realized we’d never received any communication regarding how to access the property or instructions for once we were there. We called the host number listed and were told we’d get a message with all that information an hour before our check in time. That message never came. At our check in time, we called again. The person who answered this time didn’t give us the information because her system was apparently being difficult and ended up hanging up on me or maybe getting disconnected. When I called back, it went straight to a voicemail. At this point, we were worried we’d been scammed. After a few minutes, I called back again, and this time got through to someone over seas. He was helpful though and get us the information to get into the house. About the property. The house is in nice condition. It does sit at the corner of two fairly busy streets, though. Something that should maybe be listed. There was a lack of linens however. One bed had no pillows on it… a few decorative ones, but literally a kind bed without a single head pillow. It was still cold when we were there, and there were only 2 extra blankets for the entire house, which wasn’t quite enough with 10 people staying in the house. The curtains in one of the street facing bedrooms were see through, so we sacrificed one blanket to make it so that people from the street couldn’t see in. And the water heater needs an upgrade.
