Osprey Nest
We stayed at the Osprey Nest for four weeks. We were interested in exploring the area, and like the old Florida feel of the town. The rental is in a great location, very walkable, close to very good restaurants and of course the beach. The rental itself looks brand new, well stocked kitchen, easy parking, easy drive to St Augustine, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach - all along A1A.Highlights include a walking tour of St Augustine, seeing manatees at Blue Spring State Park near Deland, touring the Stetson Mansion in Deland, the Ormond Scenic Trail, Lehigh Rail Trail, Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, watching several rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center from the beach in Flagler... For one week during our stay Daytona Bike Week was going on, so there was a pretty steady flow of nice motorcycles pretty much all day every day. Fun to watch. (Only caution is the restaurants in Flagler are super busy due to the number of bikers in the area for Bike Week).Flagler Beach is one of the few areas we have visited in Florida which don't charge for beach or street parking.Would we go back to the Osprey Nest? Without a doubt.Jordan is a great host, and did a great job of keeping in touch and answering our questions in a very timely manner.
