Fun adventure!

This is the second time we've stayed at this magical place. The location is perfect on main street in the town square. The square has tons of new places to visit. The apartment fills you with great vibes by being surrounded with all the fun and history.

One night is simply not enough

Do yourself a favor, and make it a long weekend stay (at least!). We will definitely be coming back for a longer visit. There is SO much to see, learn, and enjoy. Staying in the Pythian is an experience. Take it all in. The history is incredible. Go antiquing around the historic square. Grab dinner & margaritas at the mexican restaurant...all within walking distance. You won't regret it.

Overnight Anniversary Getaway

We loved our overnight stay! It was to have time alone together and there was so many unique items and conversation pieces in the room it kept us occupied/talking for hours. Allowed us to leave work behind and enjoy our time. The owner is super as well!

What a delight!

A few of my family and friends wanted to gather for a costume birthday dinner. Not only was this a perfectly magical place to set the celebration, it was probably the most interesting and delightful rental I’ve ever come across. I wish we could have stayed longer just to explore this exquisite space more. What a treat! Thank you for having us🌞

So Unique

I traveled with a group of friends for a trip to the distillery in Lynchburg. I stayed at this property with a friend and the rest of our group had a nearby loft. it was conveniently located for the plans in Lynchburg. The space was excellent. There was so much history on display, plenty of space, comfortable beds, and a well appointed kitchen should you choose to cook. Everything was clean and additional supplies thoughtfully placed. The rest of our group visited us the last night of our stay and loved walking around looking at place. When any of us are in the area again, I’m sure we will be checking for vacancies here. Joe was an excellent host and generously gave us a history lesson about the building. We are so happy we stayed in the penthouse!

What a COOL place!

This was such a fun stay for me, my husband, Father-in-law and 2 kids ages 6 and 8. We had access to everything we needed and then some! Joe was a great host who made our stay easy and enjoyable. My kids enjoyed their stay so much that they didn’t want to leave. There was so many cool things for them to discover. I’m sure we’ll stay here again!

Unparalleled

Wow! What a great place to stay, for so many reasons. All the "things" went so smoothly. Check in was a breeze. Communication with Joe and Katie was always fast. It truly could not have been cleaner. Every little thing that you may need was provided, and then some. Sugar cubes, for real!!! More towels than a family of 10 would need for a month long stay. The beds were SO comfortable!!! I slept like a baby for a solid 8 hours both nights of our stay. Highly recommend this place. You really won't be disappointed.

Historically Awesome

This is as unique a place as you will find. The loft itself is an awesome piece of history but the owners have filled the place with an assortment of unique and historical items to explore while there. Joe was an excellent host who showed around the place to start out and we’re available at any time for assistance with the stay. I took my wife for our anniversary and they even had celebratory sign with champagne for us on arrival. Also, recommend Honey’s cafe and Rafael’s pizza in Fayetteville.

So Fun

This property is unique to say the least. We spent the morning after our arrival just taking it all in. The main area is bright and spacious. The bedroom is darker (only one window) and very comfortable for sleeping. Even though the space is large and we were visiting in June, the air conditioning had no problem cooling. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and coffee. Communication with our hosts was easy, as was check in and especially check out. I would stay here again!

An amazing hidden gem!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay. We've never experienced anything like it and will absolutely be back! There was so much to see and do we stayed so busy the whole time. We recommend the pythian building 100%. It was also our 4th anniversary and Joe made it so special with a happy anniversary note and special gift 😊
