I had a lovely stay here! It was very easy to access the property. There are gorgeous views of the mountains. It was very cool, even in the summer, which was a lovely break from the heat. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and utensils, and all the basics for cooking in the cupboard. I used the fireplace, and its heat discharge is extremely effective. It was very cozy, as it was raining during almost my entire stay. Very relaxing! I found the wifi very reliable, the beds very comfortable, and even the towels and bath linens were good quality. Nothing about it felt cheap, which I feel like can be common in some rental places. Not here!My perspective on the dirt road - I felt extremely comfortable driving the dirt road in my Subaru Forrester, and I would have been fine doing this in my two wheel drive during the summer months too. I am pretty comfortable driving in the mountains, but even so, the 3 miles of road were in pretty decent shape. The one thing I will note is the elevation - having grown up camping and hiking in CO, I didn’t even think about it, but I did feel the elevation staying at 11k ft. I would, however, definitely stay again! Just a note if you’re coming out of state and aren’t used to high elevation.
