The location is very central and the hotel in appearance is gorgeous. The staff let the hotel down, not all but most. The breakfast for us was very poor standard and presentation sometimes inedible. The room itself was large and comfortable an issue with the flooring that was raised not fixed whilst we were in situ which caused a few issues for us. Overall a little disappointing against the standard we expect from Hotel Indigo brand.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Edwina was so caring, making sure we got the most suitable room. Room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, the vegetarian full breakfast had a great variety of food. The location was so convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

No indication that reception is up the stairs when you enter the property. Staff are polite, and go through the motions of being accommodating, but other than one lovely waitress at the bar, they aren't. The room was fine, but the bathroom was tiny, oddly angled with brown markings in the toilet and shower area. We asked for a room change but the staff indicated that as a boutique hotel the quirkiness of the rooms were a plus. No room change given. No preference is given to hotel guests at either the bar or restaurant. The location is a definite, and only, bonus.

Gemma at the reception desk was extremely helpful and went out of her way to be of assistance. The room was clean and nicely decorated, The hotel’s location was ideally located near the train and bus termini and within walking distance of the Royal Mile.

Staff were very friendly, the interiors picturesque and the proximity to the station/amenities was very convenient. The room seemed much smaller than pictured at booking, this aside there were two main issues. Firstly, there was dust throughout the room, clearly visible on the floors, in the air and around the bed area, which resulted in a lot of coughing due to asthma. Secondly the noise, the 6:30am bin collections outside our windows and 8am construction noises, were loud and inconvenient. A combination of these things, resulted in us having a less than restful break!

It’s very convenient to Waverley and the bus station, which was very helpful, but there was construction on a building literally right out my window. Even with a sound machine, it was very noisy starting very early (often before 7 am) and ending at least 9 or later. Great location to many things in the city.

Hotel and Staff were amazing, cannot fault in any way! Our room on the surface looked excellent but it was superficial, we booked a city view king room! View was incredible, large bed was great! But the flooring was all coming up and snagged clothes! Back of bathroom door was scuffed and hook hanging off! Just not quite the finish expected as per the rest of the hotel and the price paid!
