Great home and location

Great end of Summer getaway.

Beautiful home at great location. Plenty of room for our family of 8. Very short walk to almost empty beach. Long walks in both directions. Everyone loved the outdoor pool and sitting space. Wish we had longer to stay. Thank you.

Great Family Gathering Spot

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary with family which included our 8 year old granddaughter and 11 year old grandson. The pool was the center of our activities and the kids were in from morning until night. The house is laid out for lots of entertaining or a quiet nook to read. The kitchen was equipped with all of the essentials and then some. We are all cooks and didn't lack for utensils and a wide range of quality kitchenware. The beach was very accessible but catching the tides right to avoid the rocky entrance to the water was tricky. The beach was a great way to get the kids detached from their ipads and spend time exploring. We did have to deal with the horse flies and at times they won and moved us out of the pool but we persevered won more than we lost

Eclectic Cape House

Our family of 6 stayed at ECH and we had a great time. We biked the canal, kayaked a nearby river-marsh which was great fun. The high school has 6 great tennis courts and a first class track. Our family used all the nearby facilities. 6a which is the main route near the house is no where near as busy as 6 on the rest of the cape. There are many really interesting restaurants and breakfast nooks nearby. Our favorite breakfast was at Marshlands an old school counter style breakfast with hardy portions. We discovered edge pizza which is our favorite pizza - must be tried to understand. The house is clean and well laid out. Lots of light and interesting. As other reviewers have noted the interior decor is eclectic and world wide. Great AC if outside gets really hot. Great kitchen support for meals. We played croquet and supplied board games which were great fun (clue. Backgammon). The pool area is top notch, however dusk brings mosquitos. We had a wonderful bbq and dinner but you have to plan an early seating. The pool is heated, however the temp setting was brisk for our family. The beach is a very short walk over the dune. The beach provides for very long walks left or right, and is private. It is pebbly. We used water shoes. The house landscaping and outside appeal is top notch, with a great driveway organization should kids or friends visit.

Great location and property

Property and location were great. The pool also had an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and pavilion for shade. Short walk to beach. Beach is very quiet which was nice. House was great with a deck and screened in porch. Great set up, but property is a little over decorated with furniture and Antiques. Too many chairs, hats, lamps etc which with younger kids can be challenging.

Outdoor living dream

Loved the new swimming pool/outdoor kitchen area/fire pit. Certainly the highlight of the property! Grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Short but vigorous walk to the beach over a high sand dune.

Quiet Stay in East Sandwich

Location is a very short walk to a beautiful Beach - very quiet and few people - which we loved! The pool area was the selling point for us! It was great to come back to the pool area in the afternoon and swim, BBQ and hang out. Not to mention a fire in the evening and smores! The home is what it is in pictures - very eclectic BUT clean and everything we needed!

Splendid retreat

This property is perfect if you want to get away from home and other people and it is also ideal if you are looking for things to do on Cape Cod and the Southshore area. We enjoyed the solitude of the private beach. We usually only ran into one or two other people at Sunset. We loved the art pieces in the home decor and the property manager was great to work with. We stayed here for two weeks and it felt like home.

Great get away!

We had a great time at this property off season. The beach was beautiful, a quick walk and very private. We also enjoyed the outdoor area with the fire pit and kitchen. Would highly recommend!!

Blissful interlude

We enjoyed a great week at cranberry cottage. Weather was hot and sunny and we made good use of the pool. Beds are very comfortable and the kitschy decor humorous and interesting,but dusty. The entire house is very homey and comfortable. On the down side 1. The back yard is swampy and full of mosquitos 2. All bedrooms require negotiating semi circular stairs. If you have any mobility problem reconsider renting this house.

Comfortable and Fun Vacation

Cranberry Cottage was an ideal house for our 7-person family vacation. The new pool with gazebo provided a relaxing oasis for the family to play and get relief from the sunny, 90 plus degree days. The fire pit was a hit for toasting marshmallows at night. The quaint spacious house has an eclectic collection of furniture, books and decorations. A ground floor suite with patio provided our grandchildren and their mom and dad a private area of their own. Bathrooms are updated and clean. The kitchen has modern appliances and includes a wide variety of cookware and dishes. A large dining table was perfect for family meals and playing games in the evening. The main floor deck was a comfortable place for morning coffee and includes a grill convenient for a cookout. Cozy couches in the living room were great for reading, napping or watching TV. We enjoyed our privacy in the master bedroom on the top floor. Everyone loved their vacation.

Just wow!

This is a truly amazing property to get away to. The house is extremely cosy, from super comfy sofas and beds to an amazing collection of items from around the world it really is a wonderful place to stay. You’re literally 1min from the private beach and whilst lots of pebbles you still have a sand on the top half - def recommend water shoes for the kids. The property’s crowing glory though is the heated, saltwater pool and space - very well designed and absolutely made the week. They have literally thought of everything and it got to the point where we were trying to find things to recommend to improve - we got stuck at the range not being level 🙂. We’ll definitely be back!

Pleasant week on the bay

Nice house with all the amenities you could need. Kitchen is well appointed with anything you need to prepare a meal if you choose. Great bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of closet space. Bathrooms had nice space and fixtures and could accommodate a house full of guests. The outdoor space was private and quiet and gave us plenty of room to play with the dogs (we were there pre-pool) We were a 5 min walk to the beach at Cape Cod Bay, albeit a hike up the dunes to get to the beach. There is a public beach about 1/2 a mile down the beach but our area was quiet. The house is off the beaten path from the main road and there is a stretch of "dirt road" leading to the house. It is gravel and no problem to travel on. We traveled to Hyannis a couple times to enjoy some of their fine restaurants and walk around downtown, We enjoyed our time at Cranberry Cottage.

An Oasis

We spent the month of July at Cranberry Cottage and had the best time. The house is perfect for a family of 4, with space for guests. Dog friendly, clean, beautiful property and steps to the beach. Couldn’t have been happier with this place!!

Beautiful & Comfortable

We absolutely loved this perfectly appointed house and location. Short 5 min walk to beach (although you need some stamina to get over the dune)! Private, quiet setting, and the house is loaded with amenities. Everyone was very comfortable. We loved the private beach, and had picnics every day on the front lawn under the shade tree with the babies. Older grandson enjoyed soccer on the back lawn. We found a great fish market about 20 min away & grilled fish and veggies, as well as taking out delicious lobster rolls. This beautifully furnished house is the perfect home for a family getaway on the beach. Everything was perfect, thanks!!
