The log cabin home was very nice. Sadly, it is not maintained very well and is certainly not what I would expect for 700 a night. On the plus side the home was clean, nicely laid out, and had great vistas with no immediate neighbors. It also came with several bird feeders resulting in a large number of birds being seen.On the downside, the home had no AC in the main areas, only window units in the bedrooms (90degree days during our day); it was only a couple of hundred yards from I90 and you could clearly hear traffic when outside; and three of the six smoke detectors in the house had been disabled / removed.Sadly, there were several maintenance issues, including:•Before you even enter the house you are greeted with 75-100 of hose just dumped on the ground; trash cans open and plastic bottles lying around; streams of holiday lights just dumped on top of the planter; a loose left-hand railing on the stairs leading to the door which could be dangerous to anyone hoping to use it for support; Window screens by the front door were broken. Collectively this was not a good way to present a 700 a night property.•The dresser in the main bedroom was falling apart, with drawers hanging off.•All of the window AC units had large gaps around them. •Window / door screens were loose or hanging off.Overall, a nice property just poorly maintained. We will never rent one managed by AvantStay again if this is indicative of the effort they put into managing their properties
