The Detmolder Hof is one of the best addresses when it comes to accommodation in Detmold. They have been around since… I don’t know when, but my grandfather used to take us there for dinner when we were visiting and even my parents celebrated their wedding there in 1972. The hotel retained it’s old school charm and luxuriousness, but still feels up to date. The staff is wonderful as well: welcoming and accommodating. (I needed an ironing board and iron, which was promptly provided and delivered to my hotel room). I would always choose this hotel again!

The hotel was a bit dated but clean, the staff were helpful. We understand the hotel has just been taken over by a young couple so would expect changes to the decor in the near future. Reception was not always manned.

Near perfect experience.

Detmolder Hof is a very quaint and spacious facility. . It would have been a perfect experience if there were air conditioning. Weather was a little warm and sleeping was a little uncomfortable.
