The home obviously had not undergone a deep cleaning- dust- and dirt-covered ceiling fans, fixtures, crevices of the 1st-floor bathroom floor, etc. The cover to the receiving vent was open when we checked in, revealing a FILTHY filter which obviously had not been changed in months. The shower curtain in the first-floor primary bathroom was covered in soap scum, and bar soap from the previous guests covered in hair was left in the shower. The tub stopper was…gross. I refused to give my children a bath in that tub. The mattress cover on the king bed in the first-floor primary bedroom had some weird black stain. The old and worn mattress on the trundle bed was not covered, and the frame was caked in dust. The mattress in the queen-sized bed upstairs was also very dirty. The pull-out sofa bed in the loft was worn, broken, and uncomfortable. There was a broken door handle in one of the bathrooms. We did not find the remote to the tv in the bedroom with the queen bed until the day before we checked out when vent filter and door handle issue was finally addressed. The cleaning lady arrived at 9am on the last day (was rude) but we never said were leaving before the 10am checkout time given. This impeded our ability to get our stuff out. The lady said the owner told us the wrong checkout time and had done this before, and she “needed all the time before 4pm” to clean the home. How is that our problem? We even had to ask her to move her vehicle so guests could get out of the driveway.
