Very unique concept. Checked in at the desk. When I inquired about the restaurant, I had a choice between pizza and wings. Not a problem. the gentleman at the desk, now became the waiter and cook. While waiting on food, the same gentlemen then became the bartender! Good food, cold beer, prompt service! The rooms could definitely use repair and updating, but for the price it was fine. It appears to be work in process. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again and hope to see improvements in time.

I like the the Deadwood Station Bunkhouse isn't downtown. I frequent the Lodge and it's close by. I don't like that the Deadwood Station Bunkhouse sells out quickly. You gotta plan ahead and book early. The place fills up fast!

Rooms smelled awful. No hairdryer. Room was in a small dark corner. Very dated. Would not pay over $100 for a room like this anywhere. Gross!!

A little further from town, so would want to take trolley in peak season. We were able to easily park at the trolley station for free and walk town from there. Hotel has the basics with fridge and microwave, but not hair dryer. Folks are pleasant and ready to help. Small danish and oatmeal available for breakfast. Nice place for the night and comfortable beds at a good price.

Rooms were clean and quiet; bed comfortable

The morning staff were very personable; night staff lady was not very friendly and kind of grumpy. The room was very clean and quiet. Temp control was great. The bed was comfortable. Overall good stay and no complaints about the room.

It was close to downtown Deadwood, you could take a Trolly for $1 to take you to town or bring you back to the hotel, short distance, very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, the only thing I didnt like was it smelled like it might have been a smoking room at one time or a hotel like smell, I am not sensitive to smells and didnt notice it once I was in the room for a few minutes. There are also ash trays outside of some rooms and I moved the one by my door because I do not smoke and did not want anyone smoking outside of my room. Overall I was happy with the clean room, good water pressure on the shower, comfortable bed and the check in people were friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We will give it one more chance.

We have stayed here before and it was great. This time we were in the back room, carpet was dirty, bed was very uncomfortable, and there was a noise on and off during the night.

We enjoyed our wonderful stay at the bunkhouse in Deadwood. The staff was very nice and helped us out to find all the great things to do. They went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. they have a free breakfast every morning. And free wine while gambling.

Good if you are a smoker not terrible if you aren’

Stinky rooms. Smokers all outside. Didn’t fair well with my kids that have asthma. Breakfast was stale powdered donut. Awful coffee. Not for families.
