Upon arrival reservation I requested a non smoking room. The room I was giving was caked in cigarette residue to the point that everything was yellowed and musty. They were very accommodating switching my rooms. But the new room didn’t have a tv remote, the sheets were stained, there were no cups or utensils as advertised for an extended stay. The stove was rusted. I had no intention of using it, just pointing out that everything was outdated. I went to dry my hair in the morning (assuming extended stay had a hair dryer because regular hotels do too.) it did have a hair dryer but when I went to plug it in, the plug piece retracted into the plug and rattled around like they had been broken off. Fire hazard. I called the front desk 6 times from the room with no response, and 3 time from my cell to the front desk, no response. When I did eventually get ahold of someone, she was very nice and said she’d check to see if they had another hairdryer around but probably not. Never heard back. I waited around to check out at the desk for 30 mins with no way of contacting anyone to check out and eventually just had to leave.
I didn’t expect much, and I just wanted a bed for the night. But I expected what the extended stay advertised as bare minimum.
