Outdated, mold, rust, and cockroaches

The pics for the house are extremely outdated. The only reason we stayed was the location. If I would have had another encounter of being chased in the bathroom by a cockroach, we would have left. Almost every metal fixture had rust, especially the bathroom faucet and toilet paper holders which were covered in it. The bathrooms are in rough shape to say the least. There was mold growing up the shower curtain.The patio furniture is broken and moldy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Relaxing

Everything was very nice except for the parking. Parking for this house was approximately 30 yards from the house which meant we had to lug all our luggage and supplies through thick sand (no sidewalk) to get to steep steps up to house. This was a huge struggle and extremely disappointing especially with the house itself being very nice, otherwise. All the other houses around this one had parking underneath or right up next to them. This aline would prevent me from renting this property again.

It was pretty cool being right next to the water. The crashing waves never stop. House could use a few fix ups and a deep cleaning. New mattresses are needed. Everyone should stay on the island once!

Beach Time

Beach awesome. Shade under the house, no need for a canopy. House layout good. Beds were noisy, probably need to flip the mattresses. The only issues were 1) trying to pack all the luggage, etc across the hot sand to the other side of the house, with lots of stairs. 2) parking, couldn't figure out which spots belonged to the house. Had a parking war with the next door neighbor. Our vehicles got stuck in the sand a few times. 3) when leaving, we were unable to lock the door. Couldn't get an answer from the company/vacasa to give us a passcode or how to lock door from outside. But all in all, Definitely will stay here again.

Great vacation!

Great location away from the crowds. Right on the gulf with beach on each side of the house. We rented an in-shore charter boat (the Duke) from the Marina and it was such a great experience. Saw dolphins, caught some fish and had a blast! Highly recommend for a family get away!

Phenomenal

The house was very clean & decorated beautifully. Tons of extra seating inside and out.. with lots of blankets and pillows! That's a big plus for our family! We were happy to see the house was filled with all of the dishes we would need! The front porch was amazing. My only issue was that the pictures show that the house is a "two views" home with no other house behind it. That is the ultimate reason why we booked this house... but there is a house directly behind this one... about 10 ft from the back porch. Please update pictures.

Great house and location

House was very nice, well decorated and stocked, though no pantry room for groceries and the gas grill didn't work well enough to really grill a whole meal. Our weather was terrible during our stay, so it wasn't the best get away, but had it been nicer, the beach was right underneath us, water was calm, house had good sand toys and weather permitting it would have been a perfect family get away, thanks

Beautiful home and location

The home was decorated beautifully and was very clean. Loved the setting right on the beach. The oven gave us some trouble. It really needs to be replaced. We were there over Labor Day weekend and the number it said to call in the book went to voicemail and we never received a call back. Because the toilet had an issue as well we found a different number and had someone out right away. These type of issues are normal for vacation properties. I just want someone to know the Oven is not retaining its heat properly and the cabinets beside it are getting extremely hot and the oven is not cooking properly. Also please make sure that numbers are forwarded if someone is on vacation.

This beach house was great,

Great beach house, very clean and very friendly staff. We arrived early and they let us in. The porch on the beach side needs a couple of rails replaced. I put tables in front of them to protect my grandkids from falling off. That is the only issue. Other than that it was a great place to stay.
