Family Celebration

We had a great time celebrating my grandmother’s 85th birthday. The house was spacious and offered activities for all ages. The only downside is there are a lot of stairs if you have older family members. The house was clean and check I. Was supper easy

Marlin House is lovely!

The Marlin House is a wonderful and spacious oasis. Walking in the front door took my breath away. We enjoyed all of the amenities ( the pool, the ping pong table, the pool table, the deck and outdoor seating). My family loved the experience so much that they are planning another gathering next year. Thank you!

Perfect house for large group!

This house is HUGE! I mean, way bigger than the photos suggested. We enjoyed the large kitchen and many large gathering spaces. We mostly stayed in the area, visiting Flower Mound and Grapevine and this is a great location. The house could go for a better cleaning; there was trash in some trashcans, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, lots of leftover food in the fridge and one tub went unused as it was not clean at all. Since there is a steep cleaning fee, I expected cleaner.

Perfect!

Stayed here with our five children, their spouses and our two grand babies and it was perfect for us. Each family had their own private spaces/bedrooms and the big, gathering spaces were perfect for games, conversations and our family Christmas celebration. Alyse was great to work with. We also enjoyed setting up a top notch bucket golf course around the property the perfect spot for family fun!

Great for multi generational families

This house was perfect for us and our adult children that had toddlers and preschoolers. We also had some teenagers. The way the rooms were laid out was perfect for this kind of trip. Many of the rooms are attached to each other by doors and share bathrooms. This is great for smallChildren to be able to sleep in their own beds but in very close proximity. We weren’t able to use the pool area due to the time of year but it looked very nice. The area was very close to many parts of Dallas we chose to visit. Lots of restaurants and shopping also very close.

Many areas of danger for children

unprotected stairs without handrails making it dangerous for mobile children and older people. Otherwise big place with ample space. Comfortable beds, nice fixtures, very clean.

Cousins’ reunion

The house was beautiful and spacious with lots of room to hang out altogether. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool was great and the location was great being near everything you need but feeling like you’re in the country. Only warnings, the yard has sharp stickers and the house has a lot of stairs so just be careful with little ones. The hosts were wonderful though and very responsive to anything you need.

Amazing Family Compound

Had an amazing time! The hosts were amazing and super responsive. We had a large group of children who needed to have cribs etc… delivered they opened up early to be sure we had beds ready for my grandchildren. The horses around the property were great to see especially a group of kids from Boston. Party was sparkling clean and new… Watched the Texas game on great TV’s and had a barbecue by the pool as well.. 5 STAR…

Lovely home and neighborhood

Rented this place to celebrate my birthday with friends. The home was very spacious and ample space in additional rooms to place air mattresses. It comfortable accommodated all guests and the hosts were very gracious. We had an issue with the fridge and they came by and opened up the garage to accommodate us so that all our food would not spoil. I wish the booking policy for a minimum of nights were adequately noted in the description so that it was clear, however, we enjoyed our weekend. Distance is relatively close to DFW airport and also close to Grapevine shopping. Really easy commute to many close locations. There is ample land and distance between homes and while we were there we encountered no interruptions with noise complaints. Thank you for overall making our stay welcome and as we mentioned to your husband, this is a very lovely home!! Should you decide to keep it, I would consider it for future rental.

Family reunion

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of space for family gatherings and activities (pool, ping pong, pool table and some games). Especially enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and outdoor dining area. Location is very private and quiet, yet close to lake, stores, etc. Host was very responsive to any questions or requests that we had. We highly recommend this house.

90th Birthday Celebration

Our family stayed at the MarlinHouse Retreat for a weekend celebrating my mother’s 90th birthday. Only my family of 8 adults and 4 children slept at the house. The bedrooms are amazing and so numerous. Our children with kids had a room to themselves and an adjoining room for the kids. The common space was massive and perfect for hosting the whole family for lunch and a swim. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Alyse was always quick to answer any questions we had and had everything we needed for the kids (baby Toys, building blocks for the older kids, pack-n-plays, high chairs and pool toys). The kids loved seeing the horse on the property and those next door, plus a family of deer. Thanks Alyse for a great weekend!

Paradise is Close By

Hosts were super responsive and helpful - a delight. This oasis is quiet and has the feel of being away from everything but yet it is minutes to entertainment and restaurants. Close enough to Arlington if you are thinking about World Cup Soccer, football, baseball. The house has good rooms and plenty to do. Our family had 7 teens who played water volleyball, cornhole, pickleball, pingpong and board games. It's also very close to Lake Grapevine so we rented a pontoon boat for a couple of days. Close to another park that has paddle boards. Grapevine Mills is close - go to Meow Wolf. Hot tub and lots of spots for reading or quiet reflection too. ENJOY!

Gorgeous country home

This house is simply gorgeous! Nice and private. You felt you were in the country but the Neighborhood Walmart was only 5 min away. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay! We had a few questions and the host got back with us quickly. The house accommodated 12 people comfortably. Pool was great on a hot summer day in Texas! Best of all was the picnic table that seated all of us comfortably. It was nice at meal time to have everyone seated at the table. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Great place for a getaway.

It is in an ideal location for a vacation. The house is super spacious and the kitchen is super well stocked for cooking. The living room and game room are perfect for hanging out and other gatherings. The owners are 100% on top of making sure you know good places to go nearby and even provided a sun and moon themed goodie basket for our eclipse trip. Would stay again in a heart beat!
