Relaxing, spacious stay

This house was perfect for my family. We were visiting friends in the area, and we loved staying in a quiet removed neighborhood but still close enough to drive into the city. The property was spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. It was a super easy check-in and check-out process. SO much better than a hotel!! My toddler had room to run around and play!

I don't generally do reviews; however, this property fooled me lol! The pictures onsite are obviously dated. The property manager handled all our issues expeditiously and easily to reach; however, the home is not being maintained. The walkway was filthy, minimum amenities, and not well maintained. The roof was damaged and poor upkeep inside the home. There was only seating for 2 in dining area and noisy due to roof repairs!

BEWARE!

As we pulled up to the property, an hour after our check in time, the cleaners were still at the property. As we waited outside for a half hour we finally were able to go inside. As we walked into the entrance we saw a cigarette butt on the ground and a wasp nests in the top right corner. As we entered the home we noticed ants by the front door. We went and inspected the rooms next, we found ants on some of the beds, but the most disturbing is that we found was soiled sheets on the beds. We found more ants in the kitchen and dirty bathroom/kitchen towels. The floors were not swept in the bathrooms and hallways and we found trash underneath beds. We sent a message to the property manager and he said he would deal with it in the morning, it was late at night but we definitely did not want to stay in soiled, and an ant infested house. We ended up staying with family because there was no way our family was going to stay. Throughout the communication with the owner/property manager it seemed like our concerns about the conditions were never the main concern. Their main concern was the money and definitely not our family's health and safety. From the beginning, the property manager made us feel threatened because he kept telling us no visitors allowed. We chose the property because the listing did not include "no visitors". However it was stated in the reservation confirmation. I couldn't cancel since there was no refund window. We have family in the area and we wanted to have that option, but we finally agreed to their terms. So if you intend to invite people over, don't because they will fine you! We vacated the property and received no refund and no apology for the traumatic experience.
