This is a 2 star motel. We booked a room with a garden view which turn out to be a view of 101 freeway so the noise of cars passing by was loud and constant. Consider booking a room facing the ocean if you are staying here. The room had a mini refrigerator with a freezer but the microwave is shared and located near the front office. The room had a stale, dusty and musty smell. The bathroom fan did not work, the toilet paper holder is broken so the toilet paper was constantly falling, the toilet seat did not fit (it was too big for the bowl),the sink barely drained and the curtain pole was broken on one side so the curtains did not close completely.The "do not disturb sign" was not available to use and there was no separate shampoo and conditioner provided only "shampoo/conditioning 10ml/ 0.35oz) packets" which was not enough to clean one's hair after a long day of hiking. The motel did provide free bottle water and sodas as well as snacks, tea and coffee. It is also located directly on the beach and close to Cresant City and the entrance to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.

A great little oceanfront motel. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, comfortable, and in an unbeatable location right on the beach. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the value for the price was excellent. Perfect for a relaxing stop along the coast.

Room was clean and comfy. Loved the proximity to the beach and the deck right outside the room. Shower didn't get super hot and the heater didn't work so it was a tad cold, but I was very happy with my stay! Very dog friendly. Easy check in. Will definitely stay again!

Crescent City is my home away from home and there is no better place to stay, in my opinion, than the Crescent Beach Motel. They have updated the rooms, the front desk lady is always super nice and the fact you are literally right on the beach is the icing on the cake. When they found out it was my daughter's birthday they had a cake sent to her room to make our stay that much more special. I highly recommend checking out this little gem on the ocean.
