I reserved and paid for the room online. Upon arrival, I was required to pay a $100 deposit for incidentals, which felt unusually high for this particular hotel and was not clearly communicated beforehand. The bathroom itself was clean, but the rest of the room needed attention. The carpet did not appear to be vacuumed, light fixtures were very dirty, cabinets were worn with peeling paint, and there were visible dirty spots on the walls. There was also a strong mildew smell in the room, which made the stay uncomfortable. That said, the staff was excellent—very polite, professional, and helpful throughout my stay.

I've stayed at this hotel before, and it was good but this time I was disappointed. The hallway on the 2nd floor where my room was, smelled bad. There weren't many guests at the hotel but for some reason I was booked right next to another guest on the same floor. Ordinarily this wouldn't have been a problem, but this guest was very noisy and kept me awake. On Christmas morning I was awakened by very loud arguing and cursing that went on for a while. The room was very scuffed up with previous damage from past guest. My stay wasn't good like my previous stay, and I was very uncomfortable. I honestly want a refund.

Arrived at 1:15. Check-in still not complete completed by 1:35. The overnight clerk cannot figure out how to charge me for the $100 room deposit. Finally, she gave up and was able to give me my room key. The elevator floor was caked with dirt. The third floor smelled like somebody had left wet laundry in the dryer for multiple days. Then, when I got to my room, The heating/air did not work. Went downstairs to ask for a different room and they were all booked. Asked for a refund and they were not able to process the refund at that time. Ended up charging me a second time. Do not stay here.

Overall wasnt great, though you kinda get what you pay for. Very worn down, walls in the halls and the garbages were disgustingly dirty. The rooms felt pretty clean. The bathroom light didn't even work, and we couldnt really get the tv to work. Also a stain on the sheets

Too many strange people walking in and out of hotel made me and my family feel uncomfortable. I spoke with manager about checking out early and he stated that I needed to contact Hotels.com for a refund. So when I reached out to Hotels.com for a refund the hotel denied it saying that the room was not refunded. He never stated that to me when I spoke to him about checking out early. When I requested a refund from the hotel the front desk person tried to lie and say that I never spoke to him. Then he changed his response to check with the third party vendor all the time knowing that they did not want to refund my money. The hotel misled me into thinking that there was no issue with me checking out early but sang a different tune when I requested my refund.

The staff were friendly, but I had too many issues with the room, number 120. The shower was the worst issue, when we opened the door, there was a pile of dirt on the bottom corner, along the wall was dirty too and the shelf for a bar of soap was the smallest one and no where else to put anything, everything went on the floor. Just a shower caddy hanging off the shower head would have solved that problem. The sink wasnt draining, phone was unplugged so i had to go to the desk twice, for a third set of towels and a hair dryer and for a new battery in the heat and air conditioner display on the wall, which was never taken care of. The syrup in the big jar in the kitchen doesnt have a working pump so i had to take it off and got syrup over myself and the counter. Thank you for having sugar free syrup. I would suggest maybe changing the direction the bathroom door opens because its difficult if someone is at the sink for someone else to get into the bathroom. The beds were comfy, but the pillows were like nothing. There seemed to be a lacking of a managers oversight on the rooms. If the phone was unplugged to save for electricity, then check the room once its assigned to guests. Why do we get the option to day there are three people staying in the room, if i still need to get extra towels myself.

We've stayed here a number of times over the last 10years when visiting the St Louis area. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel has gone down significantly during that time. We've actually stayed in the same room a number of times because it has an in-room jacuzzi they we like. While that seemed to be working ok, the bathroom was missing a number of items (kleenex, TP and the hairdryer) We told the house-keeping person but didnt get anywhere with that person. We ended up taking kleenex and extra TP from her cart just to get some in our room. The carpet was dirty and stained throughout the room. Finally, we were very disappointed with the breakfast. First, the coffee maker was broke during our 2-day visit and no alternative options were offered (seems like a $15 coffee maker from walmart would have solved the issue at least until their coffee machine was fixed?). The rest of the breakfast food options were minimal and not very appetizing. It is sad that this location, which is ideally located for us when we're traveling, has declined so much over the years. 😢

Girls’ Annual Shopping Trip: You get what you pay for, I guess, but this stay was very disappointing! Filthy carpet, shower was sketchy, very limited toiletries & we had to ask for soap to wash our hands. Breakfast was very limited, too! No regular coffee & juice machine was “out of order.” They did have waffles, cereal & a few yogurts. We chose to eat elsewhere. We have stayed here several times in the past, but the condition has seriously declined, so we won’t be back!
