Enjoyed our Dtay

The house is lovely and has everything one needs. Very comfortable beds! Would recommend this property without reservations except for the driveway. Not good for Priuses or other low to the ground cars. Location is close to the highways for easy access to Duluth and Wisconsin.

This house was a GEM!

This VRBO is a gem! We were so pleased with the cleanliness and the charming modern vintage decor. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to navigate, and the coffee corner was a fantastic bonus that our family loved. Having the essentials provided in the bathroom was also much appreciated. The enclosed patio was a wonderful addition, perfect for enjoying a peaceful morning coffee. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and lovely for walks. The host was outstanding – helpful, friendly, and provided great communication. Our stay was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this property and would happily book it again!

Sweet vintage charm!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home, just 30 minutes from Duluth—a perfect escape from the busyness of the city. The three-bedroom layout was ideal for me and my two teens, providing plenty of space to relax. The character of this old house is truly special, and we felt so cozy and comfortable throughout our stay.The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which made it easy to prepare a few meals. Having coffee machine and coffee available was a thoughtful touch! While we didn’t take advantage of the laundry facilities, it was great to have the option.Although the weather wasn’t quite warm enough for evening strolls, the neighborhood looked like a lovely place to explore. Overall, this home had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, and I’d absolutely recommend it to other families looking for a cozy and character-filled retreat!

Exactly what we needed

We spent the weekend here to celebrate our family Christmas and it was wonderful. The house is adorable and you can tell this house is a labor of love. The owners were easy to communicate with and quick with replies. The kitchen was very well stocked! I was impressed by the variety of cooking pots and pans. It was a wonderful restful weekend and as we drove away my husband and I both talked about how we'd love to come back.

Warm and Cozy Stay!

We spent the weekend enjoying some of hi get in Duluth. We didn’t want a hotel so this VRBO was perfect! Just 20 minutes from Duluth and easy to get to! Great things about the house: the Christmas tree on the porch was lit upon our arrival!, beds are super comfy, coffee bar was great, plenty of seating and extra towels! So much thought put into the needs of the guests… even a USB port on the nightstand! A great little place to stay with family!

Quick stop in Cloquet

We stopped in Cloquet as a layover spot to continue north. The home was beautifully decorated, so many extra little touches to make the stay very comfortable. My dog also loved that he got is own bed too!

Quaint and cozy

Older style house that suited our needs. Had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable and the mattresses seemed new. Only slight drawback, which was to be expected in an older house, was that the floors creaked very loudly if someone got up in the middle of the night. We would stay again here again if the need was to be.

6 Night Stay at the House on the Hill

The home is old but I liked the floor plan. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped. Very nice to have a washer/dryer with detergent, etc. I liked the bed comfort - slept great! I didn't like the driveway at all. I would highly recommend installing a hold bar in the tub, having more washcloths (only 3 provided), having instructions for the television channels. On a personal note, if a blue opal/sterling silver pair of earrings are found - they are mine. I looked and looked but couldn't find them. Thank you.

Very well organized especially the Kitchen and Bathroom. The VRBO pictures were accurate for the facility that we stayed at. The driveway was somewhat run down. In one bedroom, the trundle bed was somewhat challenging to navagate. Overall we all enjoyed our stay. Thanks for your attention to detail.

Cute, little house. Slept 6 of us well. Cloquet is near Jay Cooke State Park. Driveway is very steep. If you have a low slung car, you’ll need to park on the street. Thoughtful amenities-espresso maker, toiletries, etc.

Short stay

The house was great, directions made it easy to find and access. The place was immaculate and the coffee bar was amazing. After a long fishing trip the comfy beds were really awesome too. The only draw back for us was the steep slope of the off street parking that made parking our truck and boat trailer in the driveway pretty much impossible. That said we were able to easily park on the street; those not pulling a boat will easily be able to access their driveway. Thanks for letting us share your house!

Cute Craftsman

Our family stayed at this cute craftsman home for a baseball tournament in Duluth. We were thrilled to find a 3 bedroom home just 20 minutes away from our destination for a much more reasonable price than being in the heart of Duluth. The home had all the amenities we needed and the host was super kind and responsive! We would definitely stay again.
