Great stay

Wonderful little Forrest to get away. Cool house, cool, art, and decorations, comfortable bedrooms, nice fireplace in hot tub. Great for a weekend away with family and friends.

Perfect Girls Weekend

The house was exactly as described in their listing. The owners went above and beyond to ensure that you would have anything you may need. There was plenty of good cookware, dishes and glasses. The home is absolutely beautiful and the view from the A frame window is very pretty. I’d love to come back during the fall to see all the colors on the trees. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space for our party of four. The firepit area is perfect and the view of the creek is very nice. The City of Clayton is a short five minute drive from the house and there are plenty of good places to eat. The Rusty Bike and the Universal Joint were two of our faves. The Tallulah Gorge and Black Mountain Park are close by and must sees. Thanks to the owners for providing the guide book for the property with very handy instructions and thanks for letting us stay at your lovey home.

BEAUTIFUL COMFORTABLE HOME

The home is Beautiful . It had all the amenities we needed. We never got the chance to use the Hot tub or firepit , but they were there as advertised. Host was very accomodating . Very close to town . Enjoyed our stay .

Hiking and rafting near Clayton

The house was nice and everything we saw in listing was just how it was. Owner provided great instructions on how to check in, check out, and there was a great list of nearby hikes provided. We did some of them and they were great. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook. Enjoyed our stay here. Only thing I'd suggest is air freshener in the house. Perhaps no one had stayed there for a while before our stay, but we noticed a musty smell when we walked in. It wasn't a problem during our stay, though -- we did notice it when we arrived, though. I'd stay here again as it was comfortable and the owners were helpful with their suggestions for dining and hiking.

Friends get-together

The house was nice, spacious and clean inside. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean, including the fridge. However, the house/property did not look as great as on the photos. The back deck was rather dirty. Deck chairs showed signs of aging. Side tables for drinks/snacks on the back deck were not available. Also not any possibility to eat outside. That was a disappointment. The street noise for us was disturbing, and was different as described. The "handbook"was very informative and useful. Any questions presented to the landlords were answered immediately. Overall our stay was enjoyable and pleasant.

Nice stay in Clayton!

We were visiting Clayton for a family wedding and it was a convenient stay for us. Everything about check in and check out was very thorough and easy, the house was as described and great for our party (one couple, two singles). Thanks to the hosts! *As of May 2024, there is no Uber/lyft available to this house, which is obviously no fault to the owners, but this was unclear by googling the address prior to our stay.

The property is very nice and spacious but still cozy. There was more than enough room for our party of six and the people there are EXTREMELY NICE AND FRIENDLY!! The hosts were Amazing and communication was a breeze, I Highly recommend!! Easy self access. Lots of helpful information provided and just an all around GREAT TIME! Wonderful stay at Cappy's Hideaway!

Family and friends stayed at the Cappy’s cabin for our son’s rehearsal dinner/wedding at Kingwood Golf Resort/Chatooga Belle Farms. The cabin is wonderful and cozy, like in the pictures. Our hosts were terrific, and very accommodating. If in the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed Our Stay

Nice home that was sufficiently stocked with everything we needed. Appliances were new and everything worked as advertised. The only negative was the deck out back had a lot of carpenter ants and we killed a few spiders on the first day. Some of this is to be expected. It is the Georgia mountains and summer, after all. Probably compounded by trees being close to the house but after the first day we didn’t have anymore issues. We would rent again but more likely in the fall or winter. Very convenient to downtown Clayton. We had a very nice overall experience.

The House with Everything

Stayed for two nights with my wife and four kids. We loved it! 7yo's comment: "I didn't imagine THIS!" There are a lot of us, but all slept comfortably. Spacious living room made family time in the evening easy. Well-equipped kitchen meant everyone got to eat their favorites for breakfast and dinner. Our only complaint: we didn't stay longer!
